The food was outstanding best burger I have had in many years and still I wished I had got the chicken kebab or the kofta or any of the other dishes served. Service was average at best, out of the 3 staff on only 1 seemed to work. Complaint regarding the use of a split plank of wood with cloth fibers left on it to serve food on was basically disregarded. Staff repeatedly walked through fire exit without closing it behind them letting in cigarette smoke into the area. What the food deserved was let down. Hopefully that's a one off because I intend to eat here again.

We had a table pre booked for 5 pm on a Saturday night. Yeah it was busy but took over an hour for our food to come with no warning that there may be a wait on food. On the hottest day of the year couldn't of helped but all they had to do was let us know. we had to ask where I food was for it to suddenly appear. 3 out of 4 really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately the nachos was like deep fried tortilla wraps cut into triangles. Not for me. But we'd definitely return just to try the loaded chips they look amazing!

Great place to go for a drink or for food, which was excellent. The service was very good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of outside seating area and a car park.

Fantastic establishment. Attentive and friendly staff. Delicious food and a good beer selection. Dog friendly, being offered bowls of water and biscuits. It gets busy but that's a sign of a popular place. Keep up the good work. Parking can get full quickly but there is a large council car park not far away.

I would highly recommend ‘The Devonshire’. We were quickly greeted upon entering the pub and shown to our tables. Rusty our dog was given a glass of dog biscuits and water bowl. The food was excellent, very well cooked and full of flavour. I had the Woodsman chicken with smoky sauce, chips and salad. My wife had Korean Bao buns which were equally well cooked. The staff were very friendly throughout and the pub had a nice atmosphere with some of the customers talking to us (mostly because we had a dog!).

Called in because they are dog friendly. Very warm welcome, lovely and warm inside on a very wet day. Super menu with too much to choose from. Very different dishes compared to any other menu we have seen. Dog was served first with water and a biscuit, and another water refill. Great service and absolutely fabulous food. Tried the dirty fries with filthy sauce and it was amazing, wonderful taste, great value and plenty as a sharer. Must come back because there is more food we need to try, as well as having the same dish again. Lovely friendly environment, super service and great atmosphere. See you again soon. Lorraine & Steve.
