Absolutely lovely eatery! Staff are friendly, even brought our dog some biscuits (on a plate!!) And water! Food is delicious and excellent prices! Good selection and they are happy to tweak meals!

I can't praise the railway enough. Called in for lunch after passing & seeing it has vegan options. The decor is lovely, really comfortable!! We were served by a lovely girl & a young lad, both extremely friendly & really informative especially about the vegan options (even offering mayo!!) Will definitely return soon & also for birthdays etc. Lovely to find a little gem where we can have a choice. Thank you railway!!

Moved to Wirksworth last year and have been to the railway a number of times since. Every single time the meal has been absolutely outstanding, with the most welcoming friendly staff you could wish for. The fish and chips here are the best you will find anywhere!

Best Sunday lunch I've had for ages.
Food is just incredible, had Sunday lunch and everything was just made to perfection and home made with love. And the desserts, if you don't have room make some because you don't want to miss out. Service from Jade was amazing too very welcoming just tops off a nice visit.

Lovely pub - very dog friendly and child friendly. We booked in advance as we were going for Saturday lunch, but it wasn't as busy as we thought it would. Food very good. I gave it 4 stars simply because the shortbread that came with my pudding tasted of cheese, which seemed odd. Great burgers and great children's menu. Two ales on tap when were in. Outdoor seating and play park.

We had 2 fish and 11 chips + chocolate Brownie & icecream which was delicious. Staff were very friendly and busy with the pub filling up quickly for meals nice place to go.

We had an excellent meal. The menu was good with some very nice veggie and gluten free options and the food was excellent and presented very well. Our waitress was very new - it was her first shift in the job but she was great and another staff member was helping her very sensitively which was good to see.

The Railway has improved immensely, the staff are so accommodating and helpful. The food is piping hot and well presented with a varied menu, catering for dietary requirements. It has such a Christmassy feel to it at the moment, the decorations are fabulous. It is well worth a visit.
