Great place for interesting cask ales and cider. Old fashioned style, relaxed atmosphere good for conversation. Always a friendly welcome. Plum Porter Titanic a favourite here. Easy to miss but not hard to find. Walk up to the top of King Street, tucked away in the corner of Belper Market Place. Dog friendly :)

A really excellent selection of real ale and cider. Nice atmosphere. Dog friendly (which is great) but let down by the fact that people think it acceptable for their animals to sit on chairs. Not very sanitary. A pity.
Well, beer five star too...Lovely little pub with cosy, homely atmosphere. Excellent beer and very friendly behind the bar. Finally made it and am looking forward to going back.

October 2022 Update: The Angels Micropub has survived the dreadful pandemic! Still one of the best places to have craft beer around town. Still rather eccentric opening hours (Thursdays to Sundays only), like many micros. …
