Went here three times while staying nearby. Great pub food, generous portions and sensible prices. Landlord is very welcoming and all the serving staff are pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended.

Went for lunch and a beer today. I had a cheese and ham panini with slaw and salad on the side. My husband had a beef sandwich with slaw and salad on the side.We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the ingredients. We were also very happy that the salad was crisp, fresh and not swimming in oily dressing as is so often the case. Big thumbs up from us. P.S the beer was lovely too.
Fantastic village pub offering extensive evening menu, for a Wednesday the pub was fairly busy so glad I had booked in advance, the landlord was really friendly as were his staff. I opted for the beef in red wine pie with mash and veg and Mrs went for the fish pie, both meals were well presented and absolutely delicious, I really wanted to go for a pud but was to full to manage anything else.
Sunday roast was great. Small portions available. Traditional pub with lots of atmosphere and wonderful staff
Great traditional pub in the heart of the village. The pub has a lovely landlord, great beer and food. Well worth a visit.
It's tucked away along winding lanes. Once you enter the lovely setting you felt welcome even if it was busy, the landlord did not ignore you or put his regulars first. We were called the Keith table 3 children and 6 adults. Our waitress was excellent. The food was excellent such a great choice of specials.
Ps, good luck with the rugby young lady
Proper country pub, great landlord, home cooked tasty food, perfect!
Great place. Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. You gathered right, we loved it and will be back to take in some more. So pleased we are local.
Had not been there since lock down. It has changed for the better. Definitely catering for the diner as well as the casual drink.
Do not let the sample menu on the website confuse you. The place is more than that and the special are really worth the visit on their own. The starters are unexpected too.
If you are travelling through stop are try it. If you are lucky to be a local, get in there.
Fantastic little hidden find! 13th century traditional country pub with good food, great service and extensive vegetarian and vegan options. Menu is much more extensive than shown on the website.
Visited here today, what a lovely homely pub,the landlord was very welcoming and the food excellent and a fair size amount.
Happily recommend this place,a bit off the beaten track but worth the visit and easy to find
