Had a lovely meal. 1st time I'd been. Only criticism was the service charge of 22 pounds which I didn't pay otherwise everything else was nice.

I popped in for a leisurely drink part way through a bike ride. The barmaid, Paula, could not have been more accommodating. I enjoyed a super service. I'm a real ale fan and was served locally produced ale. A great experience from start to finish.

Friendly staff who were more than happy to help with our requests and questions. Food was very good and there was no rush. Plus the added benefit of being able to get a doggie bag was very good!

We arrived late afternoon on Sunday without a reservation, however, Sarah immediately welcomed us and showed us to a lovely table by the window. We ordered a two course meal, I had the beef and my partner the Turkey, followed by the best sticky toffee pudding ever! I felt welcome and the food was exceptional- I highly recommend this little treasure!

Staff are lovely, service is polite and very attentive. When we sat down the amount of flies hoovering around was a bit concerning, I know there is not much they can do to stop this but it is a bit off putting.
Food - I read reviews online before going - my opinion - Food was slow coming out, waitress on a couple of occasions apologised and said it was coming. For a Sunday I would of expected quicker.
Food wise - Meat (beef) was lovely, the Yorkshire was huge, potatoes in my opinion not crispy enough, veg is veg and I didn't think we had enough gravy which was thin. With there being less gravy the Yorkshire was dry. I would of liked a nice pouring jug of gravy. No stuffing charged extra for this.
Atmosphere was nice.
Would I go back? Not in a hurry had better at this price range

Our first visit early Saturday evening. Seated in covered patio. Restaurant looked nice too.
Greeted with a smile and welcome, service was very good and attentive.
Food excellent. Skewers are huge lamb chunks had no fat and was tender. Fillet steak done how each of us like it was tender. Sides were nicely presented and tasty.

Very happy with the service here, great country vibe, food amazing and best staff, outgoing and friendly. Had my baby reveal party here, had the best day ever, huge marquee and massive outdoor space. all staff went above and beyond to make sure all guests were happy throughout the whole day and night.

Wonderful from start to finish. Arrived early - before they opened in fact - but still made welcome. Fantastic staff, particularly Jodie and Shay(?) who looked after us, made great recommendations and were generally lovely. Food was good honest grub but done really well. Atmosphere was great. Basically how a really good pub should be.
