We wanted some oysters (50!) for xmas and my usual seafood stall couldn't get me any. Hunted around and had no luck getting the quantity we needed..
We then called the oyster shed and they said pop down! And just like that we had exactly what we wanted!!! We ended up also buying a whole lobster and king crab legs! What an amazing seafood stall!!!
Will defo be coming back!!!

I have seen great reviews about this place so I called in to check on lobster availability. The lady that served me was very friendly. She showed me what she had and told me the cost of each. I chose a lobster and she prepared and dressed it in front of me while I waited which was great to watch. The lobster was a decent size with huge claws. It was delicious and good value for money at £25.00.

When we visited it was a takeaway service only due to this wretched virus.
We had a Crab Sandwich, Scallop & Bacon roll and a sharing platter of cold seafood.
Everything was presented in lovely branded paper and brown boxes with labels.
The food was superb!
This is a classy little place and well worth a visit!

After doing some research into restaurants and takeaways in Billericay, I stumbled across The Oyster Shed. My partner and I were not dissappointed. I can confidently say that this was the best seafood experience I have had! We ordered the King prawns with Chilli & Garlic, Scallop & Bacon roll, clam chowder and a seafood sharing platter. The food was absolutely divine! It even tempted me to go back to the pleasant lady who served us that day and buy some fresh Oysters to take home. After being relucant to try Oysters again, I was thrilled with the outcome of the Oyster Shed vareity. The Oysters were so delcious! I can't recommend this little gem enough! So looking forward to coming back!

It’s not about fancy presentation on a fancy plate. It’s about simple, fresh seafood of the highest quality.
We had a whole lobster, scallops and cockles.

An absolutely brilliant, simple seafood hut. We had a crab, scallops and oysters. All were fantastic. It was brilliant to choose the crab you have dressed. The food is exceptionally fresh and the value is fantastic.

It's a simple concept, fresh seafood, no frills, affordable prices.
It was obvious this place is popular.
The seating is basic benches but this adds to the experience.
The hot smoked salmon was to die for!

Easily the best seafood I have had in UK..I had the Clam Chowder, Bacon & Scallop Roll and 🦀 claws.. Everything was bursting with flavours and it was well balanced. Couldn't choose one over the another because each one was good in its own merit..if you love near Billericay or if you are visiting do come in here as it is too good to miss!!

Paid a visit last Friday lunchtime. Decent service, friendly and helpful. We had tempura prawns with a decent sweet chilli sauce and three portions of whitebait, which were all very good. Apparently you can also order and collect! Good to finally have a seafood bar so local.
