Great local pub, always with a great atmosphere. Low ceilings and great selection of beer makes for good times every time! UPDATE - despite living in the town for over 20 years I went to the Chequers for lunch for the first time. Now my goto place for an excellent value and tasty lunch. My son had a jacket potato (less tha £5!) And I had a ploughmans (£7.50). Really gutted I hadn't tried this sooner.

The place was awesome. Incredible atmosphere for a early Saturday afternoon. Super busy but quick service and lovely staff. Decent prices.
Lucky to be able to get a table space and relax. Gets very loud but guess that due to everyone shouting over each other.
Apparently 'Strictly 21's' but there were several children and babies on site.
Beautiful venue and loved the addition of various artists paintings of the building and local area dotted around the pub.

The best pub in Billericay. The owners and all the bar staff are extremely welcoming and accomadating. I had my birthday drinks here and it was the best choice. We are also regualar drinkers in this pub. Great atmosphere and good drinks. They made my 30th one to remember. A big thank you to kath for going the extra mile.

Live in North Essex and started to venture south a bit more recently to meet friends. This place was great on the Saturday night we went, busy but room to move and felt like a proper 90s pub, tunes we're banging, 90s club classics. Great pub, we'll be back soon.

Best pub in Billericay! Visited here today with my brother for a couple pints of Guinness. Great atmosphere, and everyone really friendly. Just what a proper pub should be. Enjoyed a portion of chips on the bench outside after👌
