Great evening out for my surprise birthday meal never been here for over 40 years but it won't be that long again. The food was delicious and service excellent.

A very popular place. We hadn't booked (advisable you do on a Friday). But the gentleman made room for us, as there was only 2. Food very good, service ok. As it was so busy, it was rather loud. All in all we would recommend The Merlin.

Meal was very good as was the service. Quite busy when we sat down and got even busier ( obviously a very popular place ). Although very busy there was plenty room between tables so it didn't feel cramped. Would definitely visit again next time I'm in the area.

My hot shot parmo was absolutely beautiful, I'd definitely recommend a visit to the Merlin.

First time eating here and it was amazing.. salt n pepper chicken for me and steak n ale pie for our lass.

I went for lunch with my sister, we sat in the beer garden it was a lovely atmosphere, staff were lovely, food was gorgeous, it was clean and tidy outside only thing is the food did take a while to come out but it was amazing either way

Been twice now, and the Parmos are very good, best I have had.
Unless you are very hungry I would suggest the half Parmo!! I was stuffed after having a full Parmo the first time I had one there.
The other food also looks good.
The chips are good too!

Arrive on the spot, the pub was busy but they found us a table, food took a while to arrive but when did was warm and full of flavour.
The four of us had different meals so appreciated they take a while to prep.
Can't complain on food size or taste of food.
Staff very accommodating, would visit again.

Had a great meal Thursday lunch. Didn't have any beef to have the beef Yorkshire wrap. Didn't fancy the chicken instead... Asked if they could do sausages in the wrap... Yes they can, they did, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food. Very helpful, friendly and accommodating staff. I was totally bad and had the sticky toffee pudding and custard. Perfect.
