Excellent food and great service. My preference over San Carlo. More relaxed restaurant. Some nice bars local and jam house. Advise booking
Overall very good. Ticked all the right boxes apart from the fact that when we first arrived we had to wait 10-15 mins to be seated. It was very busy though! Aside from that everything was spot on however a few times the waiter service was a little below par (at one point someone elses order was bought to our table, and we had to ask for a dessert menu because the waiter had missed our table). No major problem though, the food was great and the atmosphere was good due to it being busy and full. We paid for three courses pp, one bottle of wine and additonal drinks and it came to around £35 a head which includes the 10percent tip. I highly recommend the fillet steak despite its slightly higher than normal price of £20. Overall a very good place to go!
Highly recommend this as a good Italian in city centre. Everything you want with good atmosphere and attentive staff
If in Birmingham City Centre & want some tasty Italian food, I would highly recommend this restaurant. Pasta di Piazza is a lovely place for lunch or evening dinning.
If you are in Birmingham and want some real Italian food go here. Strong menu, with daily specials. Family friendly. A winner.
Still one of the best restaurants in Birmingham. We came for my husband’s birthday. The whole team was so lovely and accommodating that I feel like I cannot thanks them enough. We had such bad and the bill was so low compared to such an abundant amount of food.
The first time I dined at Pasta Di Piazza was 8 years ago. The quality over the year never change and the massive portion is still the same (I can’t complain). I was so happy to see the mixed seafood on the specials. This time last year we were in Puglia and that’s what we ate every day. If monk fish linguine is on the menu, I will definitely order it. Though this time, the waitress (I should have asked for her name) highly recommended the octopus linguine so I chose it without a doubt. It was sensational! Octopus was tender, the hint of spiciness in the sauce was perfect. Just thinking about it makes me want to come back again.
I have to be honest, I strayed sometimes to other Italian restaurants but I’ll always comeback here because I know that I’ll never be disappointed.
Wonderful mid afternoon meal here.
As my star rating shows the good was first rate, as was the service. The atmosphere was good, spoilt only by a pissed up party of six a couple of tables away (mid afternoon!).
Looking for an excuse to return.
The food was nice, and we had a selection of starters. Only criticism is the lack of guidance on the menu relating to what is or isn't gluten or diary free. We had to wait a while for the young waiter to inform us what the options were because they weren't highlighted on the menu.
The service was good, but the busier it got, the less attentive the staff became. It took over 5 mins to grab the waiters attention to get the bill and pay.
Lovely Italian with attentive and friendly staff. Food was excellent and came out quickly, but be warned that you will definitely need to book.
The restaurant was clearly very popular to a wide range of people - it filled to capacity whilst we were eating with all ages and types of groups ranging from friends and families groups of all sizes, occasions such as birthdays, and couples on dates.
A local favourite and deservedly so. The portions are generous, so do not over order!
Delicious food, lovely ambiance, and great service! Highly recommend. Perfect for date night 🍷
I recently dined at Pasta di Piazza and had a wonderful experience overall. The restaurant boasts a great atmosphere, with a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the stage for a pleasant evening. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit.
The food at Pasta di Piazza is undoubtedly delicious, but do take note of the portion sizes. We made the mistake of ordering a starter and a main dish, not realizing that the starters were as substantial as the mains. As a result, we found ourselves pleasantly surprised, yet quite full by the end of our meal. It’s not necessarily a negative point, but something worth considering when planning your order.
I must also mention that the prices at Pasta di Piazza are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. It’s a place where you can enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
Overall, I highly recommend Pasta di Piazza for its delightful atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Just keep in mind the size of the starters when planning your order, so you can fully savor the culinary experience without feeling overly stuffed.
Absolutely brilliant, no matter the atmosphere and food. The desserts are really nice. Especially thanks for the friendly staff.
Really nice food. They have a lot of options in the menu. The lemon pasta was very good.
I would avoid the veg risotto, I found it to be less flavourful and also less starchy than I prefer.
The tiramisu and the coffee is very good.
Absolutely fantastic!
We were on a trip from Belfast.. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.. food was absolutely delicious.. perfect for a date night or day 🥰🥰🥰
There’s such a great atmosphere here! I went on a Thursday night, and there was such a range of people.
I think this place is family owned, and it really shows. All the staff are lovely and the food is exquisite. Just delicious, I can’t wait to go again.
