Ginger Tree Restaurant

Despite them making us call and book and then call again 2 hours before we were due to arrive to confirm the exact numbers, which we did. They were not ready for our party or even capable of dealing with a group of 12 people. We waited over an hour for the starter and 2 hours for the main course. The food was OK but nothing worth telling people about, the restaurant looked nice and clean but the staff looked really miserable and didn't smile at all. Really disappointing and to be honest wish we would have picked somewhere else to celebrate my mother-in-laws birthday as after 2 and half hours and only just getting our food, those of us that were left (those with young children ended up leaving) were really fed up and just wanted to go home. We have tried speaking to them about this since but they ignore all communications.

Very poor service, booked a table at 8.30pm, got seated at 8.40pm, and was left with no offer drinks or starters for over 20mins, finally served, but took another 20mins for drinks and poppadoms to arrive. Finally got main course at appx 9.50. Naan very greasy, and some chicken was still raw... Been here before and didn't have a problem . But on this occasion the quality of the food and servis was way below par. Sorry but won't be back for some time. There some other customers in the restaurant who was complaining too of the timing and lack of service. Let's hope this improves as previous meals here have been great .

When this place opened it was great now if you order food you get told it would be an hour an half wait. With that sort of waiting time i expected it to be on time yet it was still over an hour wait after the due time so thats 2.5 hours later. after calling them he said it was on its way and i live 5 mins away and it has still taken over an hour i can only asume that ive been lied to. So if you want to eat food thats warm and at a reasonable time i really recommend anywhere other than this place. What's more of a joke is that I could of ordered it from London and it still would of beat it here! This plac has got one star only because you can not post a review with our one.

Placed order online, got told 20 mins online. Called to say it will be an hour in fact ... not a problem. An hour and twenty mins later call to see where it is ... get told its left and in route (we live 5 mins away by car). A further 25 mins later call to ask where it is ... still on route and told they are sorry and will make a note of it for next time. There wont be a next time and get a laugh down the phone!! Awful customer service - do not waste your time and money!
