Soda bread is now my absolute favorite! This place is faultless. The staff is incredibly lovely, and the food is consistently fantastic. I've enjoyed both dining in and takeout on my two visits. It's the perfect spot for a peaceful solo meal before or after a hectic day. I'll definitely be returning. Plus, I've heard the bread is baked fresh every morning – that's an added bonus! 🍞👌
Stopped in for a coffee on my way to a work meeting. Owner and staff all very friendly and had great chat. It's was comfortable, warm, inviting - everything you want from a cafe. 100% definitely going back next time I'm in Birmingham.
Definitely worth a visit. Delicious coffee. We had full breakfasts, which are cooked to order, but in return for your patience you get an excellent, freshly-cooked plate of everything you would want from a cooked breakfast. Staff friendly and welcoming to both locals and first-timers like us.
Nice little cafe serving hot breakfasts until 11:30, then lunches. Everything is made fresh, both eat in and takeout available.
Coffee machine coffee, not filter coffee.
The staff are really friendly and are happy to make you whatever you want, provided they have the ingredients. Friendly to those with allergens; in discussing needs, in preparing food, and having alternative milks available for hot drinks.

The service from the lady is soooo good. She is always friendly, helpful, and generally nice.
The bread is apparently freshly baked and delivered each day by a local french baker. The crusty baguettes are a must, regardless of what you have in them. They are just devine.
It would be nice to have a larger selection of cakes, especially gluten and dairy free ones.
They have a nice selection of drinks and food items to buy too.
It is a shame there are steps to get in, which means it isn't wheelchair accessible. I'd love to take my husband there but I can't.
Very friendly service, and nice environment. I had breakfast with my son, who had a fish finger butty with tartar sauce. This was a decent portion and he really enjoyed it. I had scrambled eggs, beans and toast (sour dough), great start to my morning.
I will make a return visit whenever back in Birmingham.

Very reasonable prices
5 years young. They must be going something right here at Soda Bread Cafe. Taking a look at the huge board of deli choices, I can see why.
Lovely staff. I noticed you can pick up essentials too: eggs, flour, tea, soups and pasta. Soda Bread Cafe has it all.
Great food had the gammon baguette plenty of filling 😋 me and my partner finished it all. Next time when in Birmingham hope to have the breakfast
Great place for your lunch break from work, I usually got for the jacket potatoes always come hot with plenty of sides
