Best food gud service definatley recomended for lebanese food
Everyone has their own experience with the staff here but ive never had a problem. They have always been very accomodating and friendly. Best meal ive had here and that i would reccomend is the lamb shank which only gets served from friday to sunday. The chicken and lamb shawarma are also very good. The decor is modest and warm. Badrs also offers private eating areas for women and families.
Love this place I notice that some reviews have been negative about the service. I've been coming here for years and I've always experienced good service!??
Maybe I'm bias slightly because I love the food!!
The owner is Lebanese and I think it shows as the food is different to most of what's served in the new and now rather busy Arab quarter on Coventry road.
I like the fact that as well as good starters including baked Lebanese specialities, it has an array of "daily specials" that are never in the menu your best advised to go up and have a mooch as to what's on offer. Things like chicken stuffed with spinach and feta cooked in a mild cream sauce.
Their fish offerings are very nice especially the sea bass which is barbecued over proper charcoal!! Delicious
There's always a fresh daily soup that you can help yourself to I always hope that's it's the lentil one whenever I go because that is my favourite.
The shawarmas are Authentic served with the pink pickled radish!
The fattoush and other salads are also really nice
From the grills my favourites are the chicken wings as well as the lamb mashwi (BBQ cubes of lamb)
The salmon is excellent when BBQ'ed and if you see a whole roasted leg of lamb try it!! It's really good.
Overall i love the freshness of this place it's really good and yes whilst it's slightly pricier than the others around the area I don't mind paying for the authenticity
We ordered a large amount of food, everything was delivered pipping hot, food was delicious and great communication from the restaurant, hope to use you again in the future 👍🏻👍🏻
Great mandi / biryani-esque with assorted meats; no alcohol on premises, cash only 😅
1. Mandi is a must have: Middle East twist on the Subcontinental biryani; we usually enjoy the kebabs (kofte) and lamb shanks, preceded by lentil soup or halloumi 👍 Reasonably priced (£34 for two excluding drinks, Jamjar down the road for shakes and desserts)
2. Plenty of seating arrangements: Middle East style, all seating on one floor; family friendly / private section; open area outside for outdoor eating experience; not very busy so easy to get a seat / minimal waiting time IMHO 😅
3. Customer service to the point: great place to practice your Arabic 😅; look out for the experienced / elder waiters if you need recommendations
4. Prayer room facilities: we usually do at Green Lane (3-5 min walk); ask management for on premises facilities / I think they'll have
5. Limited parking: it's Coventry Road 😅 Morrisons 3-5 min walk away, then do the steps 😉
This is my favourite restaurant .the food is tasty and the service is excellent ,nice atmosphere. Try it you won't regret it.
Beautiful food. We stumbled across this place accidentally and were blown away.
It wasn't greasy and though I was full I fell good. Very very good food!
Visited to bite some Lebanese food and friendly stuff welcoming at the front. After checking menu see mainly grill food less special food. Also drink section wasn't on the menu. Spacey place and they accept card payment if it is over 10£ otherwise prefer cash. on Coventry road Mainly places over there prefer cash it is good thing tbh. Food was okay, but soup of day lentil one was nice.
Had a sharing platter for two people here. Food was fantastic especially the lamb Mandi. Excellent value for money too. Looking forward to coming back.
Service was good. Very nice brothers working St the restaurant. Good atmosphere and decor. Very family friendly. Portion sizes were good and has good variety.
Pricing is very decent - kebabs could do with a little extra seasoning and cooked a bit less but overall alhamdulillah good experience and food quality.
We went here for lunch on a weekend and found the place to be quite nice. They seemed under staffed but the lady serving us was incredibly polite and hard working.
We ordered a deal for 2 which was very worth it for £14.99. We got half a grill chicken, Mandi, and some Shawarma on a bed of rice. The grill chicken was nice and flavorful and the rice were very well cooked. However the Mandi lacked taste perhaps because it was not seasoned well. Their sauces were very nice though.
For the price I really like this place and the people working here are very nice.
Clean and friendly restaurant. Only feedback is make the music a bit quieter, food and service outstanding - really well made and great selection on the menu. Milkshake delicious which is rare! Recommend the Harira, Mandi and Chicken Salad
I have tried all of the shawarma in Birmingham. Shwarma city, istanbul shawarma, AL Badr etc. This is thee best shawarma i have ever tried. Chef needs a pay rise. Well done guys will be coming every week.
