Came here prior to going to a concert at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham.
Checked out the menu and we went upstairs to the restaurant.
The restaurant was cosy and warm with a relaxing ambiance.
The waiters were all dressed in matching uniforms and, though they were willing to spend time chatting and having some banter. MJ and his colleagues kept up a professional attitude.
We ordered lamb laziz lohari and a chicken dhansak. Cooked to perfection, flavoursome and amazing.
To summarise, this restaurant is fantastic, the great service and amazing food is a package to be enjoyed. This is now our favourite Indian restaurant in this area of Birmingham.
Beautiful dining facility that exuded warmth and comfort. The food quality was exceptional, with each dish bursting with amazing flavors that showcased the authentic taste of India. The portion sizes were also very generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make my dining experience memorable. Moreover, the restaurant's location near the canals was absolutely fantastic, offering a picturesque view from the window that added to the overall charm of the place.
Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night on a solo trip with work. Was quickly shown to a table.
I ordered the chicken jalfrezi with a garlic naan and onion bhajis with a pint of Cobra and a coke.
The Jalfrezi and bhajis were very good, the bread was great but could have done with some ghee or melted butter with the garlic which was diced on top.
The waiters and service were good and there’s a nice view over the canal if you’re lucky enough to get the right table.
It came to around £30, which I think was good value.
Decided to have a meal here as my daughter and her friend had gone to a concert at the utilita arena. It didn't disappoint. Friendly staff and tasty food with generous portions. Would recommend!
We were in the area for the night and decided we would like an Indian before watching Peter Kay at the arena, we found this place online and also it was recommended by the pub opposite we were drinking in, we couldn’t book so we walked in and was given a table straight away with a lovely view. Food was amazing and best curries me and my husband had had in a long time, full of flavour and the starters and poppadoms all went down a treat. One tiny issue was that we were charged for the dips that come with the poppadoms and this wasn’t advised till the bill. We were also over charged for something extra, but this was easily removed with no hassle. The service was ok and plenty of the guys on hand to ask for help or something more. The restaurant looks a bit tired and could do with a re paint etc especially the toilets. £78 for 2 courses and extras plus a drink each which we were happy with as the food was excellent, we enjoyed our time here and would re visit if in the area again.
My husband and I came to Birmingham to see a show. We were going to get a burrito down the street but they were closed so we thought we would have a look at their menu. As we were looking a couple came out and told us we had to go in, said we would not regret it (the husband said that he was neither here nor there with indian but that he loved it). We thought give it a try. My husband loves indian so I thought I would make him happy and give it a try. I'm so glad I did. It was amazing, the best I have ever had. We tried one of their executive banquets. I had no idea what the dishes were but I thought give it a try and boy am I glad I did. The flavours were out of this world. The staff were very accommodating. My husband has a funny thing about lamb (he had some as pets) and they were happy to change it to chicken. The staff on tonight 28/04/24 were amazing. The wait time was nothing. They were so friendly. We will be back in Birmingham in a few weeks time and for sure be back. If you love indian or even if you don't you have to go to this place. Thank you for the amazing meal.
Amazing!
The service was warm, welcoming, professional and polite. Akmal was especially a 5 star staff member with his chatty yet professional manner his customer service is a credit to the company.
The food is fantastic! The starters had the lightest of batter, full of flavour, no grease (which is rare)! Delicious. The naan was fluffy and fresh. The mains were perfect in size/big and yet again full of flavour. By far the best Indian we have ever had!!!
Thank you for our wonderful meal.
💛💛
We had dinner here, the restaurant is on the first floor which gives a beautiful view of the canal., we liked the ambiance and the staffs were friendly.. we tried chicken naga tarkari, prawn on puri, murgh chatki and garlic naan.. the food taste was good..
Went in for a birthday meal. Second time visiting, food was great with good service. Nice table overlooking the canal.
Came here for an early dinner before a concert and came here as the reviews were good and it’s proximity to the utilita arena.
Entrance is on the Main Street and then you go upstairs to a nice open, clean room.
Pleasant welcome and offered a drink - cobra on draught and a white wine.
We ordered a main course dish from the specials , some bhajis (saag and mushroom and some papadums with relish.
The papadums came quickly and there was a bit of a wait for the main courses, plus the mushroom bhaji never arrived but an onion bhaji instead, which we sent back.
The quality and quantity was excellent.
Overall the cost was just under £30 each for 2 of us for a main course and 2 drinks each; so mid-price
