Muang Chang

I love Thai. And even cook it my self. I have visited many top Thai restaurants, so I am very fussy. But I have to say I can’t fault the food and service. Tried for the first time over a year ago. And order weekly, And have to say that I highly recommend. All the food is fresh and cooked to order.

To be honest I didn't even know we had a Thai takeaway so close to home (Rubery), but I found this place via word-of-mouth recommendation. They have an excellent website from which you can place your order (or pre-order if they're not open) from an extensive menu. Because this was my first time with them I decided to play it safe with a couple of curry dishes - "Thai red curry sauce complete with courgette, aubergine,Thai sweet basil and served with chicken" with chips and Thai Sticky Rice "Chicken cooked is a peanut inspired Massaman Curry sauce complete with potatoes, onion, shallots and more peanuts " with chips and Khao Ka Thi rice We ordered it 4 hours hence, and came to around £25. There's also a £1.50 delivery fee (don't know if that covers all delivery distances, but mine was about 2 miles) It arrived a few minutes early, but all dishes were well sealed and bagged; and piping hot on serving. Both dishes looked and smelt incredibly appetising too! I had the Red Thai curry order, and it was absolutely divine!! Lots of taste and aromatic flavours and spicy hot to boot. Possibly the best red curry from a takeaway I have ever had. My partner loved her Massaman curry too. Again, plenty of flavour, tender chicken and excellent rice. The only slight disappoint were the chips, which although very hot and tasty probably needed another 5 minutes cooking time. But that's a very small criticism - they were lovely! So all in all, a brilliant experience, and makes such a fine change from the usual Chinese or Indian we usually have. Thank you, Muang Chang - your food was excellent!
