Superb Food 🥘 especially Karahi Bit oily but it was tasty though. Not recommended their Mix Grill as some of stuff they use I know it’s more than one day before they marinated. Grill stuff was not fresh and dried you can’t even smell for fresher stuff
Ordered the afghani chicken karahi, the lamb karahi and Chapli kebab. Took a while to arrive.
Chapli kebab was ok. Chicken karahi was good. Not too much tomato like some places. Great flavour. The taste of the lamb meat itself was very very strong. Had too much of a gamey taste.
Great choice of traditional dishes on the menu. Have eaten here many times over the past year and tried the various karahis, lamb chops, tikka and my fave chaplis kebabs. However, I ate here on 21/10/23 and sadly, they have changed the chapli kebab recipe not for the better. Kebabs was too thick and not the normal fall apart texture. Probably bulking out with more chana flour and ingredients but incredibly disappointing and as such I won't be returning anytime soon. The chops was amazing though. The establishment could do with a upgrade, especially the toilet area, which I only ever use to wash my hands.
The food was delicious and the service was good but needed some improvement . I've ordered Kabli pilau( rice and meat in afghani way) I recommend it.
Took eat away meals kabuli pulaw and charsi kadhai. Taste was good. I had however asked for pulaw for two but had a single shank. Not sure if thats how its done for two? Charsi kadhai was very tasty.
However parking was very tight. Difficult to maneuver parking slots.
Visited first time this place, was a nice experience,
Had Charsi karahi, Kabul karahi, Kabul pulao, chappal kabab. All were good but Kabul lamb karahi was above of all. Nan was really big, enough for whole family of 5.
Tasty fresh food, the mixed grill is surprisingly good as is the chapli kebab. Haven't had any issues with the food whenever I have visited but giving 4 stars as the place does not appear to be very clean and wait times can be long during busy periods.
Best chappal kebabs in Birmingham. No frills restaurant but what you do get is top quality afghan food at a reasonable price l. Restaurant is always busy which highlights its popularity.
Food was really good. Staff just need to learn some customer service and greet customers with a smile not straight grumpy face.
Mixed grill was good so were the lamb chops.
One of the best Kabuli pulao in Birmingham.
Lamb Charsi karahi was top notch. Bit slow on serving the rotis/naans.
Food was finger licking absolutely love it first class service for family they have got separate rooms which is very good parking outside premises and side streets you can get very easily
Thank you Again for fabulous food
