Went up there for a good time, and had a great time. Met a few new people is this warm and friendly pub. There is also a room upstairs, they play music loud, it's alrite just pretty crammed and tight sometimes. Hit and miss with the upstairs, but the vibe is good here. I like it

Want to see a band? Maybe a DJ night? Have some food? Or an interesting drink? Dark horse can probably cover that. If your driving there is a coin operated pay and display right opposite

Great mother's day Sunday lunch. Food was hot, delicious and good size portions. Pork in particular was great, with crispy crackling all the way round. Service also worth a mention, so friendly and attentive, thanks for a lovely meal

Had THE best burger I've ever eaten! When we visited, it was a two for one offer, great value. Always enjoy visiting the Dark Horse, always a great vibe, and friendly staff.

Made this place a staple drinking place the last year and a bit, plenty of craft to choose from. Staff always happy to give you a sample before you buy. Door staff always welcoming and a friendly good bye. For a mostly craft beer pub the Guinness is great too. Best pub in the area hands down.

Fantastic bar and grill type pub! I recommend the Banh Mi BBQ chicken sandwich with seasonal fries, it’s a tasty Vietnamese sandwich, burns your mouth off but it’s so tasty! Great selection of craft beers on tap too for the beer enthusiasts, and great friendly service.

Went there to try out Brum Mi and the food was very tasty. Loved the hearty portion size and the high quality ingredients. Both the pork and the beef were succulent and even the pickled veggies were nom. We were also pleasantly surprised by the cauliflower bites coated in a sticky sweet sauce. As a die hard salt and pepper tofu lover, these cauliflower bites would give the beloved tofu a run for its money. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The only downside was that we were driving so couldn’t sample the broad selection of beer there. We definitely would be returning and look forward to having a couple of pints alongside.

Sunday roast (vegetarian) I must say that this vegetarian Sunday roast was one of the best ones I’ve ever had, and I had many. Portions are more than enough. Flavours are amazing and work very well together. Roast potatoes were perfect and cooked so well. Staff were very nice and helpful as well. Would definitely recommend.

First time here and I can honestly say I was IMPRESSED. Exceptional service from friendly staff, that didn't view us as a way to upsell. Wide range f draft beers, ales and spirits to choose from, especially the IPA 😍🤤... With samples provided of one's I was unsure of. Ordering was simple, with a decent range of dishes to choose from. The food arrived hot and in a timely manner and the waitress even rectified an easy mistake by replacing with a whole new dish. Great seating area outside, perfect for a sunny day, and lots of seating inside too. Will definitely visit again.
