In a good location if you are attending an event at the NEC
Chip portions and small - not cooked in fresh oil and drinks were served flat
After speaking to the deputy manager I was told they had only just reopened after many weeks so the gas was right for the drinks yet.
Very unfortunate as have previously had good experience here.
Prices appear to have increased, especially tea and coffee but with free refills this is easily offset
Food was okay. Drinks were good, service was good given how busy it gets with events being hosted. Wheelchair accessibility is moderate, however you'll be limited on where you can sit whilst busy. No table service is available here it's all bar service so be prepared for queues especially if there is an event on.
Food good -table service adequate but very untidy tables - not cleared up from previous diners although the place was exceptionally busy
Well well well what a delight this place is! Who knew it was a celeb hang out! All the superstars hang round here! Anne diamond, Ken Bruce and reg holdsworth to name a few! Astonishing! And boy can they drink, wowzers! All good fun!
Fast service and polite staff, clean and spacious pub.

Despite it being very busy because of comic con the staff were helpful and friendly and service was in a timely manner.
Came to NEC for Naidex disability show. This Spoons was easily accessible and well set out and nice and quiet before the show started. We had hot drinks. Tables clean, plenty of space.
Couldn't find a disabled toilet in here? Member of staff sent me outside to use loo whilst my companions finished their drinks inside. There are 2 able bodied toilets though?
Glad I hadn't ordered food or it would have been cold by the time I got back.
Lesson learnt, we came back after show mid afternoon and it was now packed! Nice atmosphere though. I love how light and open it is, really easy to maneuver in a big power chair. We had cakes too.
Nice place to meet friends before going into an exhibition or show, but use disabled toilet further down before going in.
Not enough staff, plates and glasses overflowing on the tables and queued outside ...bar staff were clearly overworked but friendly
If the boss of Wetherspoons should ever read this, I would plead with him to never consider shutting this pub down. The only glimmer of sensible prices in the whole of the NEC.
The best chips I had in my life, the pizza was also very delicious...
A Must try if you visit it..
