Stopped by on 6/21 and bought a 4 lb bag of original roasted. By far, the best roasted peanuts I've ever tasted. We also grabbed some boiled peanuts. They're also delicious, but the roasted is my favorite. Stopped by again on 6/22 and bought another 4 lbs, but got the dark roasted. My husband prefers a darker roast, but I like the original. I'm glad I saw this place in a Google search. Wish we had something like this closer to home in South Carolina.

Awesome peanuts roasted right in front of you. Looks like its been there forever and still going strong. Lots of charm on an old brick paved street. Got to sample some peanuts, even boiled peanuts...something this northerner never heard of before. (but will not pursue again LOL) The gentlemen working that day were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. Seems like local folks go there for their peanut fix often.

Alabama Peanut Company Found this little gem during one of our "Birmingham Adventures." It's located on the historic Morris Avenue in Birmingham, in the heart of what i believe used to be the Peanut District. The Alabama Peanut Co. features fresh roasted and boiled peanuts with over 100 flavors! We were lucky enough to speak with (Chase) who was super friendly and answered all our questions. He gave us flavor samples and showed us some real Southern Hospitality during our visit! He even gave us some tidbits of the beautiful building they are housed in. We took home some traditional salt boiled peanuts and enjoyed some Grapico and Buffalo Rock Gingerale. Rest assured we'll be back to try all the delicious Peanut flavors!

I've been coming here since my 3rd grade field trip to this place! It used to be called The Peanut Depot and didn't have boiled peanuts. Once Jaime, the current owner, took over he continued using the same original peanut roasters and added boiled peanuts to the menu. I call it "Craft Boiled Peanuts" because every week there's a new flavor, such as French onion soup, Salty Dill Pickle, Milo's sauce, Collard Greens, Old Bay & PBR to name a few. They also have regular and Cajun boiled peanuts. All the ones I've tried were delicious! This is the only place in Birmingham where I'll buy peanuts because of how fresh they are! I highly recommend going. They also have really cool merchandise too.
