San Miguel Mexican Restaurant

The waitress messed up my order three times. I ordered the combination of two tacos with rice and beans - substitute the beans for rice. She came out with enchiladas (wrong), then came out with tacos, rice, and beans (wrong). She (waitress) exclaims "you said double rice," but on my plate it was "double beans." She finally came out with the right plate. The tacos were greasy because the ground beef wasn't drained and it was poorly seasoned. The rice didn't have any flavor and the waitress gave all the customers drinks with ice except our table. She didn't bring out tortillas for the person I was with nor her side items. The experience was horrible and I will not recommend to anyone else. I love Mexican food; however, this was garbage! Oh and the salsa was soupy and very spicy.

Authentic Mexican food --yes--which means if you like Americanized or Tex-Mex you probably won't like it. That isn't my problem the food with those expectations is only so so and for a Mexican restaurant portions are a touch small--minor matters still would give a 2 1/2-3 rating if the SERVICE WAS NOT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD. Two tries both times place--salsa is thin like bouillon again but I am there for food which sitting in an empty restaurant (I was seated by a 10-12 yr old) you would expect to get.---15 minutes until waitress gives me and my 9 yr old son water and salsa (and a FEW CHIPS). The chip run out--15 minutes later no re-fill she takes my order. Two other parties arrive---both of them are well into their meals and mine haven't come out yet. I stand by the kitchen--nab my waitress and say where is our dinner--she says they making them now. 10 minutes later--now an hour since entry to the restaurant food arrives.--so so taste. In ending-- I walk up and pay my bill--service really sucked but I never stiff any wait staff because I did this 40 years ago but only give her $2--if you could only see the look of disdain and she didn't thank me--trust me all considered it was $2 more than she deserved.

I went for lunch on 4/5/16. I had the pablano lunch and it was fantastic! Everything from the salsa to the main course to the rice was great. Even with the language barrier, my experience was 100% satisfactory. There was lots of great tasting food for the money and the server (no habla englais) was the most humble and friendly individual that has served me in a decade. Thank you San Miguel for the great experience!!! Update: went on 4/9/16.. Waited 40 mins as the only customer. A child brought chips and salsa ( I gave the young man $3). At 20 mins the server came took my order, but at 40, when there was no other service... I left

Me and my friends have been in the service industry for years; However we genuinley love great food and great service! Upon entry the resturant was kind of dull with lighting, which was not very welcoming. Our waitress was nice and helped with the menu selection, but became in the weeds when to many tables arrived. When our chips and salsa arrives before our drinks, we were a little confused but appreciative. Then our drinks arrived a little while after. Upon arrival the glasses I noticed where a bit unclean and it made all four of us check out surroundings and our plates for our chips which where unclean as well. Slowly I began to worry since I just got over being sick from another food place. Shortly after our food arrived, 1 plate at a time, we noticed 3 plates out of 4 had uncooked meat. Ground beef to be exact. The server then took roughly 10min to return and check back up on the quality of food and give us refills; Now upon her arrival she informed us that the meat was cooked because "she cooked it". My question is how can she: Serve Host And cook? She then proceeded to make us pay for the meals that were uncooked and still plated. We payed for what we drank and what was eaten. NOT what was uncooked pink ground beef inside of 2 orders of Chimichungas And 2 Enchiladas NO BUENO!!!!!!!

I was thoroughly impressed with this restaurant and the people who work there. I ate there with my friends, and after paying with my credit card, I accidentally left it there. I didn't realize it until a few days later. I had searched everywhere for it and could not find it. I check as a last resort at the restaurant and after checking my ID, the lady handed me my card. I am grateful for the honesty of these people, and would recommend this place to anyone.

This was the worst mexican restaurant i have ever had... margaritas tasted like lime kool aid .. Bean tasted burnt rice was Bland... enchiladas was mostly just shell and sauce.. Hardly any meat in them at all.. Would take the margarita off the bill.. Even though we never drank it.. Ever bad place to eat.. Do not go here...
