Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I usually go to the one by my house but tried one closer to my salon today. Ordered thru the app like I always do. As a vegetarian, some people don't realize how awful it is to accidentally bit into something with meat. What started out as eagerness for a delightful snack turned into frustration and disgust. I ordered a veggie wrap and got a mouthful of chicken! I called and they told me I could drive back and they could fix my order. No sorry, no understanding. What if I were deathly allergic? They didn't offer another option. Just told me I could come back any day and they'd do it but I'm not going to drive 20 minutes out just any ol day for a stinking wrap. To top it off the smoothie had no taste. The reviews are right. Whatever they do at this location makes their smoothies taste like sugary ice water. At least the chips are good, but they don't prepare the chips do they now. 🤔

I want to pass something along about one of their employees who went above and beyond for me when I thought I had left my wallet there. Sean went out of his way to help me and spent quite awhile researching to try to track my wallet down. He was very couteous and patient, even though I was a bit rattled thinking I'd lost quite a bit of cash, then having to replace credit cards, my driver license, etc. He was so helpful, even offered me a smoothie at no charge (knowing I couldn't pay for it without my wallet). I did end up tracking my wallet down (not in the store) so I just want to say thank you, not only to to Sean but to his manager who followed up with me to make sure everything was ok! They also make an awesome flatbread sandwich and the smoothes are great!

This location did not offer the best product. The app was hard to order on and it took an extremely long time to get our order. When we did it was not blended there was a lot of ice and chunks and seem like it was not prepared properly. I’ve been to several locations that are very good this was not one of them.

One of the staff did not wear a mask at all, two did. With as much of a big deal they are making out of COVID/Omicron I would expect all staff to have on masks at least. Also had to request napkins....why aren't they automatically given to customers? Spending over $25 should at least warrant napkins/paperware/etc. without asking.
