Shak's Fish And Chips

I was craving some good fresh Fish & Chips, and remembered Shak’s was a place I wanted to try. I am extremely pleased I did, because the fish and chips I received was the best in a long time. Order was made fresh to order as I didn’t mind waiting. Lovely chips with delicious crispy batter on the succulent cod fish and curry sauce just finished it off nicely. Customer service was great, the young lad Ibraheem was friendly and welcoming. I recommend to all who want fresh and tasty food. I will definitely be visiting again.

Very nice food loved it family enjoyed it very clean shop also very friendly chap who works their looks after me with good portions the salads are banging and the masala fish wrap defo try that if not your missing out. Mention the bande and he will make it extra tasty for you 100%. Service is excellent very good on prices on food and portions.

Well the one thing I thought birmingham lacked when I moved from cov was a decent chippy. I found it and shaks is it. Simple. Staff are fantastic family run buisiness. 24 year old chap behind the counter works his heart out to make the experience for the customer. A lot of you useless waster students with no work ethic could learn from this man. I pray he profits from his hard work in years to come.

This place is the Best! We are visiting from Houston,Texas and we were treated like old friends! The staff was super friendly ( even though it was near closing) and the food was spot on. My fish and chips were perfect! and the burger was yummy and fresh! This place is a must visit. Skip the tourist traps on Broad St., and near the arena. Walk few minutes past the canals and you'll find this neighbourhood chip shop, your new favourite place eat!❤️❤️
