Among the Chinese restaurants in Birmingham, this is definitely one of the better ones — easily in the top 20%. The noodles are springy and delicious, and I would recommend giving them a try. The broth is also quite good. The only downside is that the braised beef in the Lanzhou noodles isn’t as flavorful as it should be.

I really enjoyed my experience at hot 7. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, explaining the menu and giving great recommendations. The food was amazing, the portion size is very generous for the price. The hot pot experience was very enjoyable, 101% would recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Asian restaurant.
