Goody's Charcoal Chicken

Goody's is a place I like to drop in for a quick takeaway snack. The couple that run it always greet their regulars with a big smile and good humour. Most of the food is intended for takeaway but there are tables and chairs for those that have the time. They're gone now, but I hope we see them again when the redevelopment is finished.

Positives: open later than most other local shops. Friendly owner. Chips okay. Negatives: shop presentation had me questionable from the onset. The chicken was dry, the food in the bainmarie had probably been there most of the day. The slapped together burger was reminiscent of some 1990s backalley diner. At the price and quality for it all I could have crossed the hall and microwaved some of the frozen food aisle from Woolworths and got the same if not better quality and value. To top it all off the 1.25ltr solo we also bought was 11months past it's best before date!

This is a joke, our order arrived via uber eats and upon arrival discovered half of our order was missing, if I could put this review in the negative as the food itself that we were able to have was lack luster. This is very poor on the stores behalf as the order itself did not take long to cook nor arrive. Very disappointed will not return nor will I advise anyone I know and meet on the street to EVER try this place.
