The quality of the food was fantastic, as were the portion sizes. Location is excellent being right next to the airport and it was really well furnished inside, it felt comfortable and cosy in there. Staff very nice as well and spot on if you are staying in the Premier Inn next door.

Just left here and have to say it was really nice. Me and my partner have eaten at the cherry tree pub a few miles away which is part of the same chain. My god the difference was night and day. We ordered exactly the same food as the cherry tree. At the cherry tree, we ended up with inedible food and rude staff so we ended up just leaving. The hot air balloon was the polar opposite. Lovely hot food. Served very fast ,the staff were very friendly with big smiles. Three pieces of chicken in the wrap(not two like the cherry tree) Amazingly they had brown bread (again after four visits to the cherry tree something they ve never had) We didn't have to ask for anything extra, everything we needed was brought to the table. At the end we had empty plates . I think this is the first family pub I ve been where the menus and tables were spotless with no stickiness. It's attached to a wacky warehouse, so it is great for kids and also has a premier Inn next door and a lidl, so very handy! It has a great amount of seating. The loos were clean. The only thing stopping a 5 star is the decor needs a little touch up, as it's suffering a little wear and tear. This clearly is no fault of the staff though. I know I ve compared this to another pub in the same chain and don't want to take anything away from the air balloon or be mean about the cherry tree. I just think the difference is so massive and they are so close to each other its worth taking a few pointers from the guys that seem to have got it right.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday Lunch. Good sized portion, plenty of veg and nice little gravy pot. All for c£7.50 when you buy 2 ( there were four of us). Friendly staff too (especially Natasha or Natalie?). Definitely recommend it. 👍
