Go here regularly. Food is always good hot and big portions. Service is very good. Has lots of outside seating. Lovely coffee, disable toilet all-around great place do lots of special nights quiz nights, date nights comedy nights.

The best liver and bacon I've ever eaten, anywhere - and I have it at restaurants every 6 to 8 weeks! Awesome rich gravy and melt in the mouth liver. Too many places serve up 'leather and bacon' but not here!

Great friendly local pub, beer well looked after and good selection of guest ales. Good quality pub grub at sensible prices.

We didn't try the food on this occasion but the drinks are good coffee's, teas and hot chocolate all come with a little biscuit, a nice idea. The hot drinks were perfect on an evening. The venue was busy so I'm guessing very popular.

A real find. Beautiful platter of fresh bread and charcuterie. Just what we wanted. Staff very friendly and helpful

Visited the Waverley today for the first time. Wanted to order sea bass but unfortunately all gone so I ordered fish and chips. Absolutely lovely. Big chunky chips and huge fish with big flakes of moist fish and delicious batter. Huge portion so big that I had no room for desert which was a first for me. My friend had the same but also with a garden salad. Very impressed and will definitely be returning

Lovely pub with great views. Food is gorgeous, but you pay the price for it understandably. Regular events on including music, quizzes etc.

Great atmosphere
Wonderfully frontage seating area and surprisingly sheltered.
Wind was 21mph and temperature was just 19c but we sat out and ate a lovely ham 2 eggs and chips with their skins on ..
Locally supplied produce, and it really shows .
Service was fast but it obviously depends how busy they get .
They are a free house .not tied to a brewery .
Parking is 80p n hour across the road.
Dog friendly providing the owners are as well behave ..

Quick service although several of the staff couldn't make up the listed cocktails. Great to sit outside in the warm weather. Inside, the bar often has sports showing on a screen. Was lucky to have a local choir singing for a couple of hours in the afternoon. (Will add bar photos when I find them 😄)
