Use to come here all the time and the food was lovely. Went there recently and the food was awful. Chips were overcooked and taste of fish. Assuming fried in the same oil. Pie was microwaved. The only thing that was half decent were the onion rings.
Bought a pie and chips today, and this is how it was once unwrapped. I can't blame Pukka Pies, but the way it was handled after it was delivered to the chip shop is unbelieveable. Also, the place stank of stale chip fat.
I have just bought the smallest large cod imaginable. Unfortunately bought as a take away so didn’t see the size until I got home. It was more like the size you would expect as a pensioner special!! They even charged 10p for the bag which is a first for a take away. Save to say I won’t be visiting this establishment again.
Very small portion of Cod and chips for £12.80 absloute rip off.
Unfortunately, after a lovely chat with the owner, the food was such a let down. Portion of fish was tiny for the price. It didn't taste fresh, which is a shame as its next to the bloody sea. The chips were a mix of old and new which felt like a cheeky way of disgusting the bad ones. 👎 place needs some freshening up too. …
