Great welcome proper old school pub. Staff very friendly

What a very warm welcome. So friendly and great customer relations. Shame we don't live here as it would make a perfect local. We only went in for one drink as we had other arrangements, wish we could have stayed longer.

Good location.
Played pool 2 games for a pound.
Not busy so this was good for us.
Drinks reasonably priced.
Crisps £1 a pack!?
Only negative was for loud music. Much too loud which was off putting, especially when what they were playing was akin to a 90s or 00s disco. Been there and done that.

A brilliant little pub, great staff and customer's, good prices, the place is spotlessly clean and I can't remember when I have been made to feel so welcome in a long time.
I wanted to go back the following day but I was too fragile, but I will be going back soon and more than likely at regular intervals as well.
The Alex is a proper classic pub, I loved it.

Popped in for a quick pint on visit to Bognor and found place to be quiet but clean and comfortable,handily situated by station too.

Our first pub of the day right by the station a very good selection of beers including real ale service was good and prices very good the premises good and clean definitely be top of the list

I have found myself going to this pub more and more of late.. not for the drunk (though that's an added bonus) but more for the company if not just the regulars and my friends but that of the new landlords.. I'll let them introduce themselves to you when you visit (it's a must) they have not only gain the trust of a lot of regulars from other pubs as well as The Alex itself but they also managed to earn the respect of these regulars.. their upfront honesty is refreshing as is their upfront acknowledgement of what is and is not acceptable in this pub and they fact they stand by those decisions without batting an eyelid.. I would 💯 say this is now not only 1 of the cheapest pubs in bognor regis (another bonus) but beyond a shadow of a doubt at least in my opinion the best pub in the town center right now.. please please please give this place a go.. wonderful staff wonderful atmosphere and wonderful company 💜❤💯
