The Bugle Inn

We went there for Sunday lunch on Mother's day. It was really busy as mother's day but this did not hinder the service at all. The staff had everything so organised, the carvery was done in tables so there weren't big queues, staff were so friendly and helpful and most of all the food was delicious! Would thoroughly recommend The Bugle Inn!!!

Google Maps thinks I want to review the rooms in the hotel but I want to review the pub. I had heard good things about the food; this pub has changed hands frequently over the past 20 years, even being closed for awhile. My wife and I went for lunch today, 1st March 2024. We arrived about 1.30 and there were plenty of tables. The staff were friendly and welcoming. (The only slight drawback was we had to wait to catch their attention both to order dessert and to ask for the bill but we were in no rush.) My wife had cottage pie and I had steak and ale pie. Both were excellent and served piping hot. For dessert, my wife had ice cream and I had the chocolate and caramel cake, which was really, really good. Bonus: 25% off main meals for over 65s Monday through Friday, except Bank Holidays.

Think this listing is setup as a hotel? We visited the pub/restaurant, superb value! It has a very relaxed vibe, whether in there for food or a drink - separated. Enormous portions, the taste of the bugle burger was amongst the best burgers I've had. Quality and quantity. Too many chips for us, saw other people asking to pack up and take the leftovers as portions so great. Staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Would return if in the area again. Found Botley tricky to find a good place to eat, should have come straight here!

We stopped here to have a few drinks and relax for a few hours. The pub looks nice and tidy inside and the toilets were clean which is good and always a bonus these days. They also have a little cocktail menu which was nice. They were £8.00 a drink which is average price for a cocktail I would say. We also sat next to the open fire which was cosy and warm.
