Really friendly, helpful staff. Great food we had a lovely time! Thank you! Unfortunately no gravy for chips, but that hasn't caught on in the south for some reason.

Always a great meal here. My third visit and the food is great. Never needed to take advantage of the bottomless chips!! There can be queues both too dine in or take out. So make sure you time your visit or accept the wait out is well worth it.

I lived round the corner for a few months from "Chez Fred" and still visit when I'm in the area. There's always a line to get in but it's worth the wait. It's rare that you're able to get "catch of the day" as it is always sold out. If it's not you should definitely get it (you might have more luck during Lunch time rather than Dinner time). I've been lucky a few times and it's one of the best fish and chips I've had. You get unlimited chips with your order so make sure you have room to fit it all in 🤣. I would also recommend the "pea fritter" (deep-fried mushy peas 😋) It has an "old school" decor done in a classy and stylistic way. As a Brit who loves Fish n chips it is one of my all time favourite fish and chip places. If you're visiting the area you need to go.

A superb fish and chips restaurant! The staff here are really welcoming and attentive, we got seated quickly and we had our orders taken shortly after. The restaurant itself is well decorated. There is a good selection of fish, with specials and catch of the days. There is an option for unlimited chips, which I obviously went for to make the most of this amazing curry sauce that I got on the side. Other condiments come with the meal, but the curry sauce is worth every penny. The haddock I had was seasoned well and the batter was crisp and crunchy. We also had the soft serve ice cream and it was a lovely way to finish the meal, being a refreshing pallette cleanser. I would come back here for the curry sauce alone.

Delicious gluten free fish and chips on a Tuesday only. The rest of the family had the regular fish and chips and we all raved about how good it was and value for money. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Worth the visit by bus from our holiday spot in Bournemouth. I'd be there every week if I lived in England .

A traditional fish and chips restaurant in Bournemouth. The staff are superb and cheerful attending to customers with a high attention to detail. Food is freshly cooked to order, and the batter is light. The waitress said my cod was being cooked again because the tail was broken off, demonstrating quality and care to detail to which I said don't worry so not only did my original cod arrive but also to my surprise another as well! The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, setting itself apart from other fish and chip shops. A special thank you to Vicky, and Melissa who looked after us. You can't reserve tables, so I would advise arriving early in the evening. Otherwise, expect up to 1 hours wait. On street parking only. Certainly one of the best fish and chip restaurants in the UK.

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The today’s catch fish felt like butter when biting it and the mushy peas were excellent. Waiters were very friendly, the service is excellent.

Lunch The premier fish & chip shop. We know it's very popular so we decided to get there early. On arrival about 12.30 there was a queue out the door. Not early enough as they open at 11.30. The wait wasn't too long, maybe 10 minutes or so. We ordered THE LUNCHTIME SPECIAL £12.95 Prime cod Unlimited, freshly fried chips, home baked roll and butter, Fred's mushy peas, plus a pot of tea or cup of filter coffee or a choice of soft drinks. Including free refills of tea or filter coffee. Save up to £6.00. Available 11.30 am 2.00pm. Service was friendly and quick. They need to be with so many wanting their fill of superb Fish & Chips. Lunch is extremely good value, taking into account the Unlimited chips & drinks. Which you don't really need as the portions are very generous. Well worth a visit even though there might be a queue. Or get there earlier than we did.
