I had a really excellent meal on a Sunday here with very prompt and attentive service from Richard which made it all the more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Super friendly & accommodating staff (special thanks Mark) had a delightful meal with my wife and our three month old baby. We had a warm reception on entrance. It was a very hot evening; Mark kindly moved us to a more cooler area of the restaurant. Food was delicious. We would definitely visit again. Thank you for a great meal!

Sunday lunch with 4 adults.
The Pub has just been taken over by Youngs and I think the food has taken a step up.
Nice crispy squid and a crispy Tofu to start followed by 4 roast courses. All good.
Could have done with some ‘Sunday lunch’ puddings (Crumbles etc) as there was just the usual menu so we skipped. Was busy for lunch with an event in the garden so could have done with an extra staff member or a front of house co-ordinating the team.
Would recommend and will go back.

Called into the restaurant today wanted to eat there however there were problems in the kitchen and could only serve pizza. A very helpful young man explained the problem and showed my mum the facilities and explained to me whereto visit to get a lunch we preferred. Such a very helpful member of staff we will visit again to have a meal. Thank you for your kindness and help

I popped in this pub last Friday with my little girl and the Brazilian staff member was so nice to us and welcoming I will definitely go back. She accommaded my little one by giving her things to do and was extremely helpful!

Initially, the order that was given was completely wrong. The staff amended the order swiftly, and they brought out the roast that I had ordered. We had the beef roast and the goats cheese pizza. The goats cheese pizza was delicious and full of flavour. The roast was mediocre, and the beef was really fatty, and there was a lot of fat on the cut of beef. We sat outside in the beer garden and there was enough seating and it was a lovely atmosphere in the sun.

The food was very tasty and the service was amazing. You got a good sized portion for the lunch menu. We did have one issue with being given the wrong order but the staff quickly replaced it. The venue itself is very lovely and there’s plenty of room for big groups. Great place to have lunch

We hired the forge. The staff were great, everything we needed was there when we arrived and we were just able to get on with our party. We were checked in on a few times. Great place and would recommend/use the forge for an event again.
