We stopped off for one drink on our way to the Harwich port. What a lovely little pub! With a lovely little fireplace. The pub was so warm and welcoming. The lady behind the bar was lovely and friendly. We will definitely stop there again!

Lovely local pub with friendly people. Just the sort of place that chain pubs should be. Warm and welcoming and popular with people in the village. Just how a pub should be

Early evening visit found this great pub for us. It was a non- food pub in a village, that clearly had a thriving community spirit. Well kept beer by the landlord who was friendly and gave us "the time of day".

Booked part of the pub for a funeral reception. Tony organised a buffet and refreshments for me. I cannot fault the service we received at all! The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful, everyone commented to me what a lovely spread had been put on for us. Thank you so much to you and your staff for helping to make a difficult day run smoothly!

Great local. Tony and the team are very friendly. Great range of drinks and during ordinary times some events to help bring the community together. Can't wait for the current rules to be relaxed and to visit the pub for a beer!

Honestly probably gets 4 stars simply for being open at 9+ on a Monday night, a lot of pubs anywhere near here seem to have very relaxed attitudes about when they choose to open and close, often having relatively small windows of opening- if they even bother to open on a monday at all which naturally and eventually leads to closure. For what its worth the pub is fairly small and compact, the staff are pleasant and drinks are reasonably priced. Sky football was shown on the day of entry
