Sheltered from storm Babet in cosy surroundings.
Had the Beef Bloomer, lovely and tasty.
Wife had Aberdeen Angus Burger....No complaints there either.
Food served promptly and HOT!

Just popped in and so pleased we did, the staff very good and found us a couple of places at the bar, had chicken stuffed with haggis and whiskey sauce, exceeded expectations and so did the bill when it arrived, reasonable, as staying nearby intend to return to repeat the experience!

Great atmosphere and lovely food. We were all welcomed and the dogs were particularly well recieved.

Excellent beer! Bitter and Twisted on tap was superb. Lovely staff. We didn’t eat but the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good.

This was a great experience! My dad and I were on a small road trip and walked into one of the first inviting-looking places we could find - despite being fully booked, we were offered a table at the bar or on the low couches 9we chose the latter) and they were very comfortable - all staff are really friendly and the atmosphere was great, with lots of art to look at. Really nice food too, with generous portions and fairly priced.

We were booked to dine at the Flying Stag across the road but the staff there were so rude we left and walked opposite to Farquharson’s Bar and Kitchen. Kat and the rest of the team were amazing. They warmly welcomed us even though we arrived right on 8.30pm. They gave us exceptional service, delicious food and couldn’t have been friendlier. Kat came and chatted to us after dinner and gave us lots of local tips. We couldn’t have had a better night. We need to thank the Flying Stag pub across street because their haughty, exasperated attitude and filthy dining room made us move onto a better place just across the street which made our stay in Braemar much better.

We went in for food while glamping and our youngest who has ASN was having a bad moment and the staff were so helpful and reassuring even when we offered to move outside to not disturb the other guests. And the food was amazing! Would definitely recommend

Pre-booked a table for six of us after a day on the hill. Service was just first class from the time we arrived until we left. The place was very busy but we were well looked after and our order quickly taken. Food arrived in good time and enjoyed by all our party. All in all a great experience and we will definitely be back. We'll done team Farquharson.

Came here twice in one weekend. Beef cobbler was a wee bit tough and fatty but on second visit I went for the chicken breast tower burger - absolutely terrific. Good value for money and lovely staff.

From the outside the hotel looks very drab,
but you walk inside and the whole place sparkles, customers all appear to love the establishment and what's not to love, the beer is good, a wide range of spirits, the food is excellent and the staff are exceptionally helpful always smiling and cheerfull. Don’t be put of by the exterior appearance this bar is brilliant and I'm sure you'll love it.
