Lobb Shack

Great spot for visiting Woolacombe. I had visited many years ago with my parents as a child, and recommended Lobb fields to my partner and brother for our trip this weekend. The facilities were clean and near our pitch, which was good. The shower was extremely hot and there was no way of controlling the temperature. There also aren't any changing facilities, i.e you have to take your clothes etc into the shower with you. The cubicles are also very small and the corridors are quite narrow. When my partner called up to book he was told he couldn't book two pitches in his name, for 1 small van, 1 car and 1 small tent. No problem, his brother called up and booked his own pitch for the car and tent and we told these would be next to each other which was great! My mum then gets a phone call asking her to pay for her booking and we are all very confused and can only assume that a third booking was made in error, on her account, as her details are stored from when we visited years back. No problem, my partner calls to cancel this third booking and is told he cannot cancel the booking in my mum's name for GDPR reasons. The women he spoke to was rather abrupt considering the error was on their part. My mum then calls back and asks to cancel the booking that she never made and had no involvement in. The man she spoke to was very kind and helpful. All very confusing and long winded, which wasn't necessary. Overall I think we may stay for a short visit again.

Beautiful site. Wonderful friendly staff... nothing was too much bother. The toilets and wash rooms were immaculate. Plenty of water stations and bins . Plenty of choice of pitches for tents, vans or caravans. Quiet at night. Stunning views from the middle and upper field. Brilliant for children and dogs. Combination of onsite cafe and visiting food vans. Braunton Town walkable distance... easy driving access to beaches. Would wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you Lobb field for a wonderful few days.

We’ve stayed at Lobb Fields a few times in our tent. We have family in Braunton so like to stay at the site when visiting family. The facilities are very well maintained and there are plenty of showers and toilets. The pitches are very reasonably priced - depending on what you’re after. We just have a billy-basic grass pitch, no EHU, and find this fine for our needs. We have recently purchased a motorhome and I’m sure we’ll be back to Lobb in our ‘van in no time!

I have been staying at Lobb Fields regularly for over 30 years. It is a relatively small independent site, nice level pitches and good clean facilities. The wardens are extremely helpful and friendly. My last stay was when motorcycle touring with a 2 person tent. If you want the all inclusive entertainment experience look elsewhere, this is a nice quiet relaxed site. Still my first choice when in North Devon.
