Friendly staff and amazing tasting food. I highly recommend this pub. Louise our server was extremely friendly and the bar staff (I didn't catch their names) were lovely people. The food tasted amazing (I highly recommend the ultimate southern fried chicken burger) it was absolutely stunning and the side sauce was amazing. The kids had a great time playing in the park outside and the adults had a brilliant time playing on the dart board inside.

We had the beef burger and the chicken strips.. both of which were good.
Very nice staff as well. We were served by Sophie and Vickie, both of them were sweet and very pleasant to talk to!
Service was absolutely great. Very warm welcome by the lady at the bar. And James who served us was spot on. Attentive, patient and respectful to us all! Thoroughly enjoyed our meals too. Compliments were given to the chef for our gammon and chips, scampi and prawn salad meals. ALL delicious ☺️

After being invited to try the new menu at The Cherry Laurel I arrived to the pub on a Friday evening. The soft florals, dark woods and soothing colours of the pub combined with cosy fireplaces invited you to sit and enjoy. A rainy Friday evening sat by the window in the warmth was the perfect way to enjoy hot and hearty food.
We choose the sticky BBQ wings and ribs to start along with the MOZZARELLA AND CROXTON MANOR CHEDDAR BITES which were delish. Smokey, melty and an awesome cheese-pull (see my reel which I'll post later). For mains, we mixed and matched
THE ULTIMATE SPICY BEEF BURGER
(Two 3oz beef burgers and an American style cheese slice, topped with spicy pulled pork, crispy bacon and jalapeños. Finished with cheese sauce and crispy onions in a seeded bun) with SURF & TURF
(An 8oz aged rump steak with wholetails of golden Whitby scampi. Served with tartare sauce.) Which I asked for rare and rare it was, a gorgeous dark red inside but warm to the touch and just crisped on the outside. Served with crispy onion rings - ASMR fantasies galore and my teeth met the tempura batter crust. I also stole some of my fiancé's burger of course which had a fat layer of smokey, spicy pulled pork, that plastic American cheese we all secretly adore and lots of jalapeños. And then the hit the desserts hard with a Rocky Road Sundae and warm Chocolate Fudge Cake served with ice-cream. There's nothing quite like watching vanilla ice cream melt and pool around warm chocolate cake- it's like a little work of art. The hospitality was great, the servers were so attentive, kind and made me laugh a few times.
Very friendly atmosphere and the servers were all welcoming. Louise and Sarah served us and both were very accommodating and nothing was too much for them. Food was reasonably priced and very tasty, will definitely be going back! Lovely beer garden as well if the weather had been nicer to sit out there and noticed they do quiz nights too, which I look forward to going to.
We love it here! We’ve been multiple times on multiple different occasions and no matter what we are always treated like family. Your welcomed in and told how everything works which is great for people who haven’t dined there before, one particular staff maybe Sophie has always treated us with respect and kindness and not matter what her lovely personality always shows though, I hope everyone who works with her appreciates her fully she deserves it! Food is always lovely and for the price you really can’t go wrong!
I know how hard it can be working in hospitality as I’m a manager of a restaurant myself so I hope everyone who reads this can understanding how truly wonderful this restaurant experience is!

We were shown to our table by a very polite young man who told us how we can order. The same young man took our order @ the bar and was so helpful and asked us if any of our guests were allergic to anything. Our food come to the table pipping hot and it was absolutely delicious we had the mixed grill and it was cooked they way I ordered it. I will definitely be back again
From the time of our arrival the staff were friendly and very welcoming. The new deco is amazing and gives the venue a lot more light . The new add ons to the menu gives more choice which is always good. The presentation of the food was amazing and the taste was excellent. The staff behind bar and waitresses were extremely helpful . Myself and my family are regulars at The Cherry Laurel and we wish you every success.
Food is great but what makes this place special and stand out from every other Marstons pubs are the staff. The most, helpful, friendly, accommodating and kind people. Louise always goes above and beyond and the service provided by Sophie was also fantastic.
