Well, what can I say. Walked into the pub and there was spiders everywhere, cobwebs hanging from the walls and then 2 ghosts appeared!!! Yep, it's Halloween 👻👻. What was the that? My proper review? Right, well, the food........... Never been here before, but now I'm thinking of moving in. The plates are massive, well worth the money (see pics below, or above 😂) The chicken was the best cooked in the area, like, not dry like the the other local establishments. Kids meals are a good size. Buuuuuuut, the chicken tikka. I ain't going to lie, I was expecting a sauce. But what I got was/is by far the best chicken tikka meal I have ever had. And the massala chips that come with it, well........... Just order it and find out for ya self! Friendly staff aswell, make ya feel like you come in everyday. Will defo come back (once we have it the gym to burn off this food 😂💪😉) Cheers all.
Great place, new managers so hope is that the place comes back up to what it was.
Beers are good but furniture needs renewing
Small pub but it’s a good one! Usually decent beer/bitter on tap which is good as Bathams is near, they do have sports channels on though so you can watch the game. Also has a playground for children so it’s more family friendly than some of the others in the area. As it’s a small venue you can struggle to sit inside on weekends 👍

Fantastic food and great service, even though they were very busy! (Birthday meal, on a Bank Holiday!)
The mixed grill was done just right (medium rare steak, as requested)
Would recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

Good mix of people & friendly, DJ very good most of the time. I work with clients with special needs & all are made to feel really welcome which is absolutely brilliant for them & myself. Rarely any trouble & the staff are outstanding.
Great pub great selection of beers and high standard of cooked food, regular entertainment. And the dj lee smithy sounds is amazing best ive heard 😀
We traveled down in our campervan to have some work done on it. Called in for a pint & was welcomed by the landlord & landlady. Such a lovely friendly couple. Thankyou for everything
New management who can't do enough to help. Good country nights every other Thursday. Lovely food. They know how to keep a good pint.
