Friendly service, good food. We had the Sunday lunch menu, good quality, value for money. Scampi was a bit over cooked, but the belly pork with crispy crackling and beef were succulent.

We called here for lunch on our way home from the Lake District; it was pretty quiet but we received a very warm welcome. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We ordered roast of the day (brisket) and a battered chicken sandwich, both dishes were very tasty and the portion sizes were generous (I'm a big eater!). Highly recommended and we'll be back.

Got treat like royalty as always and the food was again absolutely divine. Compliments again on the food and the service. Waitress is sooo lovely. Even got a complimentary bunch of flowers for mothers day. Lovely sentiments thanks again!!

Since this pub has reopened we have been visiting a bit more as the staff are lovely and the food is sooooo good !!! We’ve not had a bad meal here so far. Great pub with a very nice atmosphere!!!

3 of us went for early bird menu. Good choice and very good portion size. Really enjoyed our meals. Waiting Staff a bit slow but they were new to it. Landlady couldn't do enough for us. Will go again

Great home cooked food enjoyed by all of us this evening. Very polite staff always happy to help of needed. Very relaxed environment and didn't feel like we was being rushed like we have at many other places before. We will definitely be back as it the best pub much we have had in a very long time. Very highly recommended. Thanks all for a lovely evening.

Just been for Sunday lunch, food amazing, so tasty and plentiful. Vegetables were steamed and fresh. The staff were lovely and welcoming, Christine took time to chat to us, we will definitely return again soon.
