Simply incredible .... food drink and service are amazing. A real gem of a restaurant! The duck is a classic , but anything on the menu is fantastic!

Popped in for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. Restaurant was still buzzing. Good menu options across the board with prices to match. Staff great, attentive and helpful. Loved it. Would definitely go back and recommend it. Need more places like this around. Authentic, with good people front and back of house.

Always welcoming, wonderful food, great atmosphere. Very reasonable prices and a good menu, what more could you want.? We have eaten here quite a few times and it has always been spot on.

We were very excited to try this restaurant as we have heard great things. The waiting staff were really friendly and it was a nice little place however the waiter misunderstood what my husband ordered and when the food arrived it was the wrong dish which we didn't mind about however I was sat facing the chef and he clearly did mind, pulling a face and looking very annoyed and this made me feel very uncomfortable. The food was all pleasant some of it really lovely but when our dessert came out a big blonde hair was on my husbands creme brulee and because ot what happened earlier on in the meal we felt too awkward to even say anything. This was his birthday meal out and it just left us feeling a little disappointed that the evening turned out the way it did.

If being busy is any guide, then this restaurant is very, very good. Our booking was at 8.30 and a second sitting. It was still full when we left at 10. On our way back to our hotel I didn’t see any other restaurant as full... The food, portions, quality, price, and service were all very good. ‘nuf said.

We have eaten at "Petit Pois" a number of times and haven't been disappointed any of them. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's intimate without being formal. The staff are always great and the menus are fantastic. The chef's present amazing plates of food which look beautiful and taste great. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Passed the restaurant by chance on a flying, reminiscing visit to Brighton. Looked great in passing so booked for the evening. Was encouraged to take a later table. We arived, and the experience from entry to leaving could not have been better. Great choice, great service, terrific ambience and wonderfully relaxed. Try it - you will not be disappointed.

This place is so worth a visit I am trying to book to go back, very cheesey but worth it, they have a varied menu and a blackboard of cheese to order from, service was really great and lovely atmosphere and busy on a midweek evening.

Our family of 6 enjoyed an amazing meal at Petits Pois to celebrate our Dads birthday. The menu has something for everyone from meat lovers to my vegetarian daughter, there’s a specials board too. Petits Pois has a lovely atmosphere and staff are warm and friendly. There is a real personal feel here. The decor is also lovely. But the food! The food is some of the best we have had. Good wine list too. Mussels and clams marinere and goats cheese croquettes to start.... Beef short ribs with garlic mash, duck, blood orange and dauphinois, Iberian pork and creamed cabbage, goats cheese and walnut parcel to follow and chocolate fondant and pistachio ice cream (still dreaming about that ice cream) creme brulee and amazing tart tartin as good as any I’ve eaten in Paris. Delighted to have chosen this lovely restaurant for Dads birthday. Thank you to the staff for a lovely meal and the birthday surprise.

We came for dinner with friends on a Friday evening and had a lovely time. The place was packed but service was friendly and generally well-paced. There was just a brief moment when I wondered where our main courses were; but as I had the thought, they appeared. The food was delicious. Snails, goat cheese croquettes, duck rillettes, short rib, scallops and duck all very tasty and followed by delicious little crème brûlée’s. I’ve taken a star off for a couple of little quibbles. This must be the only French restaurant in the world that doesn’t offer complimentary bread... lacking especially for the snails. Also, the wine was quite heftily marked up - we paid nearly £40 for a Cote du Rhône which wouldn’t cost a tenner from my wine merchant. Finally, the portions were a little small. My beef was £14 which was good value, but it was small for a main course. It was utterly delicious and I would happily have paid a fiver more to have a slightly more generous helping. Nevertheless, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely return. I may just have an emergency steak in my pocket to munch on if needed when we do.

We turned up on spec and were welcomed warmly. The service was good throughout and the food (duck in a blood orange sauce with celeriac daupihinoise and great sorbets and superb apple tarte tatin). Witn wine £52 - a bargain. Will go again

A superb restaurant. Service was excellent, food superb, great flavours in each dish. The atmosphere was wonderful particularly as it was a dismal Monday evening. And a good selection of wines. We loved it and had a perfect anniversary meal.

A February Monday night in Brighton. Looking for a non-chain restaurant was proving to be difficult. Resorted to Google for inspiration which led us to Petit Pois. An excellent find, was met with a smile and pointed to a table quickly despite there being a large group in place. It’s not a big restaurant, so we were concerned that they may struggle to cope. We needn’t have worried. They were on top of everything. The food was excellent. Both me and my wife enjoyed all the courses. It would be difficult to pick out any of them as they were all good. Oh, one that I will, the macaroon at the end, one of the nicest I have ever had. Price wise, very reasonable given the quality on offer. I’m an out of towner, but visit Brighton often, so we will come back here.

A great choice for a Monday (or any evening for that matter bar Tuesday and Wednesday when Petit Pois is currently closed). Good French based menu with a special plate of cheeses or meats definitely worth trying at some point during your meal. Apart from good food and reasonably priced choices we really liked the service that was both attentive, friendly and also gave us space and time to enjoy our meal. Our new favourite when visiting Brighton.

Quel plaisir d’avoir trouvé ce petit restaurant bien sympathique à Brighton. 3 of us went for dinner on a busy Friday night for my friend’s birthday. It was our first visit and we loved it. Quick and attentive service, food was all delicious and really well seasoned. The poussin was a standout for me and the Languedoc red wine. I really miss café gourmand so was very pleased to see it on the dessert menu. Have recommended to others and would certainly return. Merci.

Went here for a pre Christmas meal with my friend. We eat out a lot and fancied this restaurant. It was really busy when we got there and got seated quickly. Unfortunately customers after us got their order taken first, but this wasn’t really a problem- just that we were hungry 😋. The food is excellent, portions a good size and we loved the way the cheese is the second course. The cheese ‘blackboard’ is amazing 😉. We had a great meal and will go back as we love good quality and well cooked food.
