Plateau Brighton

My absolute favorite of all the Brighton places we dined at over the weekend. Friendly, attentive service, excellent small plates and a truly interesting wine list. We moved on for dinner elsewhere as we had a prior reservation but I quite wish we had stayed on. A real gem of a venue with vibes in spades.

Really loved our dinner here this evening. The food was excellent and really reasonably priced for what it was. We tbought there was a great vibe and the staff were lovely. There was a slight delay on one of the starters but they were so apologetic and even took it off the bill which we hadn't asked for. Will definitely come again :)

Very atmospheric with lovely food and drink options - extensive wine, cocktails & spirits with a selection af specialty beers. Food looked awesome and our neighbours were delighted with their meals! Not amazing for plant-based (us) and that is the missing star from my perspective. Highly recommended!

Amazing dining experience. Relaxed atmosphere, exceptional service and incredible food. We loved that all was locally sourced, some grown by farmers right outside of town. Unique produce grown using biodynamic farming methods. Sourced organic wines and sustainable proteins. Everything was fresh and flavorful, with unique taste combinations. Absolutely Delicious! Attentive and well informed server. Patient with our 6 year old. Exceptional dining experience.

The wine list is truly eclectic, all natural wines by which I assume they mean organic and expensive. Vivino not much help as too few ratings you're that far off the beaten track. The recommendation from the waiter was interesting but not something I'd ever order again, has a fizz to it, we all thought it tasted like Vimto. My food was nothing that blew the lights outs, sourdough starter was pleasant, salami was a little bland, vegetable tempura was probably the highlight and the pork schnitzel was coated in the most incredibly crispy panko crumb but underseasoned. Restaurant is really dark, but full and buzzing. Portions are on the small side and some of the table were still hungry after working their way through the menu. Enjoyable evening but not a do over for me.
