Lovely welcoming pub in the heart of Portslade Old village. Recently under new ownership, the place has been transformed. Good selection of beers, with regular guest ales. Food is only availiable on Sundays, but the meals are good and reasonably priced. The beer garden could do with a makeover, but is still nice to sit in, a real suntrap. We often visit with kids, who are more than welcome.
Great pub, staff and locals. Lots of well attended function nights.
First time back in 20 years and I was impressed with the pub It is well laid out good service and great beer. Nice atmosphere.
The best pub around Portslade, well run, friendly and comfortable, live bands at the weekend, absolutely fab
Popped in for a flying visit, first time in ages, Very good beer, friendly locals, great landlord,(Jim), will return soon.
Really cosy warm friendly pub, garden area nice size. Staff really nice.
Nice friendly local with 2 separate bars selling good real ales
I used to be a Friday night regular here for ten years in the 90s-00s. It's a lot tidier and cleaner now and the toilets are a major improvement. Nice garden area with benches albeit the dog toilet gives it a slightly unpleasant smell. Good service and would return again.
Just read previous review from eggharry.
The Stags Head, portslade Old Village don’t serve food, so your dodgy roast dinner was purchased elsewhere!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Friendly , local, traditional.
