The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and nice, I ordered a basket of bread and fish soup, the soup is really tasty and has variety seafood inside. There are many restaurants in Brighton serve fish soup but most of them are pretty pricey but this one’s price is reasonable. The bread is fine, felt it is super fresh bread but it’s good enough.
It is an small restaurant that run in Brighton for more then 50 years. Will definitely come back to try more different dishes next time.
I loved the atmosphere of this fish restaurant in The Lanes. Sitting outside in the shade, I enjoyed the fish casserole which was beautifully fresh and tasty. My husband, not a lover of seafood, enjoyed chicken Milanese. We arrived early for lunch but by the time we left the outside seats were all occupied and it was filling up inside. The service was good and, with a glass or two of Pinot Grigio, we enjoyed a memorable meal.
This is a charming restaurant. The fish is excellent but I deduct 1 star for the chips
......needs a lot of work. Frozen from Iceland?
For £30 a head making great chips is vital...and don't be stingy with them.
Beautiful breakfast for 4 of us. Loved the flavor on mushrooms.
Lovely lady served us. May be managr tbank u
Called in for Breakfast on a Saturday morning beginning of December. Sat outside as a lovely day. Very nice spot, lovely food very tasty and reality fair value. I left all full up, there’s a lot to
be said for that. Very clean and fresh inside lovely staff and nice surroundings….

Walking along Market Street (in the lanes) came upon this quaint little restaurant. Bit of History for ya:. 13th century fisherman's cottage apt as it's located in the oldest part of the Lanes... (As per D'Arcy's pamphlet)
Food was very tastey; I had the muscles with garlic bread. Wine, Castillo del Moro crisp not to dry or sweet... Desert; panna cotta. Lovely meal, took the long way round (walk to digest) home. Oh and the waiter was very friendly.
Toilet Facilities: Unisex not my fav type of facilities. Located up two flights of steep stairs (13th century) bit puffed out when I got to the top. However, there was toilet paper, soap & hot water... And they were relatively clean, could do with a refurbishment (just my opinion).
only ordered some starters and a jug of sangria but it was lovely. the food was hot and tasty, the service was fast and good. all around a really nice little place to eat.
Amazing find for lunch! The most fresh fish we have ever had, and we eat out alot.
Quirky little place in the Lanes which could easily be missed.
Wasnt disappointing, in fact it was so good I felt I should.leave a review
Classic Italian dishes in a quiet setting. Traditional Clam and seafood spaghetti was as it should be. Expensive alcohol
Amazing food and service. The staff is friendly, polite, always around to bring everything you need. The location is good everything fantastic.
