We have been tens of times to Nooris and never had a bad meal there. The food is old-style curries. They’ve recently re-vamped and are trading as a cross between a traditional Indian Noori and a “curry club” called Mumbai Chilli Club. As far as we could tell the curries were the same as before but with a swanky new menu and not cheap at £15 for a main.
On the last visit the meal came quickly but we had to wait about 15 mins before our order was taken. The lady was most apologetic and we weren’t in a rush so didn’t mind.
Incidentally, we have always found the lady (owner/manager) to be extremely friendly although always rushed off her feet. I suppose if you take offence easily then you might translate her being busy as brusque but really? No, she’s fine.
We will always go back to Noori’s and highly recommend it as a place to go for good food, at a reasonable price, right off the seafront
Had a great meal here. Delicious pickle tray and mixed starter. The owner was friendly and accommodating when we asked if we could have a slightly different naan. The main was worth the wait. Overall a great little place.
We will be back again next time we are in Brighton!
Surprised to see the low ratings provided by others. I live in Lancashire so I know a good Indian restaurant from a dodgy one, and this one was good. While at a conference in week 28 a friend and I had a meal here and I can only say we were both impressed. The food was brilliant. On a specific personal note as someon with special dietary requirements, the manager and the other staff members dealt with me in a polite and helpful manner.
We've walked past several times on previous trips to Brighton and always judged on the amount of seats that are full, last night we decided to have a meal here, at first we did wait 10-15 minutes before we had a drinks ordered taken and thought ok this should have been done as we were taking our seats. When I asked the passing waiter for some drinks he was more than happy to help and very polite, we ordered our food, had a reasonable wait time as expected as there were a fare number of people eating, when the food arrived it was fantastic, hot, amazing flavours, my partner ordered her favourite dish that was not on the menu and said it was the best she'd ever tasted.
We will most definitely be visiting again and will recommend to all our friends that visit Brighton.
It was excellent in aspects of customer service, ambience and the taste of food is homely😊 as I had the feeling of tasting true indian dishes after a long time. But one thing which is quite important the service is a little bit slow and I have waited for more than 40 minutes which I think worth the taste....
Great little place. Food was good and a decent price.
The food here was very nice! The mixed grill was different to any other I have tried. The staff were friendly. I wiĺl definitely go back next time I'm in Brighton. Highly recommend.
My husband and I visited this evening , we really enjoyed our food, it was delicious and tasted very authentic. Food portions were perfect . Cannot fault this restaurant. The lady server and chef were very polite and friendly they didn't rush us to eat up quickly like some do.. Made us feel welcome We would definitely be coming again. I'd like to say thank you to her for our little shot if alcohol, perfect treat to end our evening.
Really lovely evening, food was great, really tasty and good value 😋
By far the best Indian we’ve had. Lovely food, and even lovelier hospitality. We will be back for more! Thank you so much for such a wonderful evening.
