Have been meaning to come to this restaurant for a long time.
This is part of the catering course at Brighton Met and those serving you; both front and back of house are students on the course. You are, in effect, taking part in one of their lessons with an eagle eyed tutor overlooking proceedings, who occasionally steps in to pass on advice or show the way to the waiting staff.
I was really impressed with the whole experience. Service was both polite and attentive, at times it was a little slow, but these are students learning their craft and you just need to factor this into your plans. The food was excellent with great variety on offer. The portions were generous, enough that finishing dessert was beyond me!!
If this were not enough we were then introduced to the freezer full of food for sale on the way out...I will never have to cook for a dinner party again!!
A really enjoyable meal served by great students who I wish every success to in the future.
This place is not advertised well enough. I purchased a Groupon and 4 of us had a 2 course lunch.
This is a restaurant within walking distance of brighton station that is run by students who are on a catering course. For this reason you need to be patient as service can be slow. The service is a little wooden at times but the enthusiasm is there and the food is delicious and well presented.
You need to book , I believe so they know how many they are catering for but there is a choice of 3 starters; mains and desserts . At time of writing 2 courses are £9.95 and 3 courses for £12.95. You need to arrive around mid day as once finished the students return to class. There is a full bar and the option of coffee to follow for around £1.50 extra.
Only open 3 lunch times a week during term time. A different lunch time experience but excellent quality ingredients made into delicious food
Me and my wife went there for the first time recently and had a very nice meal for very little. The drinks are also very affordable so it's a great option for a cheap and well cooked 3 course meal. The menu has a few choices for each course so unless you have a lot of restrictions you'll find something to eat. It's served quickly and there is a bucket on the bar to collect tips the trainee staff so do take along some change.

Had a taster menu and food was excellent. It’s a training restaurant for the pupils at the college but the food was a lot better than some restaurants in the city. Drinks are very cheap and food is well priced.
Lovely Christmas lunch prepared and served by the students.
Fabulous venue , attentive enthusiastic students learning the trade - great food from the student based kitchen …worth a visit
