We really enjoyed the sea painting activity for our children. The lady was really friendly and helpful. The museum had some interesting things to see for our children too. We all saw interesting things. We had an amazing time.

I didn't really have long enough to look round this museum properly but I really enjoyed the rooms I got to. It has a really interesting furniture section which is pretty wonderful. There was even a Lalique table! Each area I went to had at least one seat. When I bought my ticket I found it would be valid for a whole year, so if I can manage it - I'll be back.

I would have been 5 stars but it costs to much for what's there, I have been in much bigger and better museums in London for free.

The Brighton Museum and Art Gallery has an interesting, if somewhat eclectic collection of things. It's hard to know how to describe it, so diverse are the collections. Archeology, design, fine art, seaside memorabilia, ceramics; it's as though a lot of wonderful collectors emptied their attics and the result is the BMAG. That said, what's there is interesting and there are some real gems in virtually every category. Worth a visit, and the ticket is good for readmission for a full year.

24th Aug: Turned up for a second look at the Bamber photographs, they do make me laugh! Here's the Escaping Skeleton! In the current heatwave, a great place to cool off. The Roger Bamber photography exhibition is "Brighton" unusual, with charm, wit and artistry. Spacious museum with lift, outside lies the Pavilion gardens, bring your picnic with!

Brighton Museum and Art Gallery is a great place to visit for anyone interested in art, history, or design. The museum has a wide variety of collections, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and furniture. There are also several temporary exhibitions on display at any given time. I was there recently to see the exhibition of the work of Roger Bamber, a popular Brighton-based photographer who died in 2022. The exhibition, entitled "Out of the Ordinary", showcases Bamber's unique and distinctive style of photography, which often captured the quirkiness and eccentricity of everyday life. Bamber's work is both humorous and thought-provoking, and the exhibition provides a fascinating insight into his creative mind. The photographs on display range from portraits of local characters to images of Brighton's iconic landmarks, and all are imbued with Bamber's trademark wit and originality. The museum is located in a beautiful building in the heart of Brighton. The building was originally built as a library in the 1800s, but it has been converted into a museum in recent years. The building is full of interesting architectural features, and it makes a great setting for the museum's collections. The museum's staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They are always happy to answer questions and provide information about the collections. The museum also has a helpful website that provides information about the collections, exhibitions, and events. Overall, Brighton Museum and Art Gallery is a great place to visit for anyone interested in art, history, or design. The museum has a wide variety of collections, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The museum is also located in a beautiful building in the heart of Brighton.

Awesome collection! It's definitely a broad range. Also, basically the ticket you purchase for the day is good for re-entry the whole year. Obviously as long as you bring your ticket. It's worth the small fee!

Really cool stuff to look at, the photo gallery exhibit was super interesting - and I really enjoyed the ancient human narrative, learning how buildings and tools were used throughout early human history! We stopped by in the 'See the Sea' exhibit in the gallery upstairs and did some painting (available on a Friday) and even though we were adults the lady running it was more than happy for us to have a go - very friendly, helpful, and informative staff overall. Great little place to spend a few hours!
