We've tried a few Fish and Chips Restaurants in Brighton and this was the best one. Fresh Chips, tender fish, delicious peas and gravy. Really nice and friendly staff. We'll definitely be back!
First fish and chip shop on the rate tour of Brighton. It ANGERS me that so many of the ratings I just can't understand.
The fish was fresh, tasteful and flaky, batter was thick and crispy without a sign of excess oil, didn't even feel soggy.
The chips are thick cut, and very crispy, not to everybody's taste a thick cut, but great to go with the pot of curry. One dips and savours every mouthful.
The trays are adequate portion size and the curry was finished with chips to spare, wouldn't recommend pouring the curry over due to tiny gaps in the box at the corners.
The one staff member was nice but she needed a deckhand in my professional opinion, she can't possibly handle the whole bar and clear up front of house on her own. So if the owner reads this, put an add in the window and don't run the place with 1 person, quality drops and you end up with 2 stars, as the place needed a light clean ect, but nobody there to do it.
Curry was thick and flavoursome, no raisins. £13 for what you see, which is a premium price, as usual - that'll do me for lunch and dinner, so money well spent.
As usual, picture says a million words, kinda sad I ate the last chip
A late night stop on our way back from a concert, our server was friendly, attentive and informative. Cooked us fresh chips and nuggets. I would recommend this place. One man on his own, managed the sudden influx well, even when some customers were being obnoxious.
My wife and I spent 2 nights in Brighton after a 2 week cruise from the States. Our hotel was right next store so we got some fish and chips and dined in. Everything was perfect. The gent that took our order also fixed our order, and he was a friendly dude! The food was top notch as was the restaurant…super clean and inviting.
We are itching to come back to Brighton and when we do, our first meal will be at West Pier👍🏻
The chips were delicious but the main selling point of this fish and chip shop is the wonderful staff member who helped us. She was super friendly and welcoming, and really brightened our day.
First time I've been to Brighton, so I thought I just had to get some fish & chips. This place caught my eye so I thought I'd give it a try. I ate in and they are very friendly and the fish was excellent.
Reviews are just peoples opinion and my opinion was i had a great experience the cod was amazing with nice batter, great size portion, kids loved there meal, and a really freindly welcome and staff where great looking after us. Would definitely come again.
Shocked at the reviews, I have to say. Friends and I were down in the weekend and I could have gone back for seconds! Perfectly fried and freshly cut chips, Fish was battered right, and lovely customer service. I'm hoping the negative reviews are based on issues that have since been resolved.
We travelled from Winchester for a day out in Brighton and the only things on our to do list were: get fish and chips then get hot donuts.
The fish and chips were absolutely amazing in this place, you even get some crispy bits on the chips 😁we sat in and the service was very friendly and welcoming. I had haddock and it was so lovely, I truly believe this was the best fish and chips that I've had for years!, the fish in particular was fresh, large and coated in a beautiful batter. It really was so delicious.
Only popped in to buy a few drinks while we sat watching the sea the other day but I wanted to leave a review as the lady on the till was so kind and friendly it really made me smile! Amazing customer service and will have to pop back for food next time we’re in town.
