I'm not sure I this place is new or has been here for years but this is a nice hidden gem. The restaurant is somewhat difficult to find, located near a hotel across from a Ford dealership. Upon entering we were greeted by a young lady and directed to our seats. The place looks somewhat small. We ordered and to our surprise the food was top notch. Thr Mexican tampiqueño was great as was thr Calambre. Waitress was young and inexperienced but due to this pandemic it's understandable, because nobody wants to work nowadays.

Update: I had to lower their rating since I just had a not so great experience. When you order chimichangas here, it offers queso for 99 cents extra. I asked for that when I ordered my chimi, specifically stating "I'll take the queso for 99 cents" while I pointed at where it says that on the menu. She brought me a queso that was in a bowl the size of a cup of soup. I thought, wow that's a lot of queso for that price. Then I get my bill and she charges me the appetizer price of nearly $7! I brought it to her attention and then soon she comes back with the manager who is not wanting to take it off. I stated that I'll pay half the price since I did eat it and shared it with others in my party but I'm not paying full price since it was the server's mistake. She agreed to that but it left me feeling kinda upset. I believe that good customer would dictate that the manager realize it was server error and simply take it off the bill. Not wasting time trying to argue with the customer about it or making the customer feel like they're thinking I'm trying to get away with something for free. I don't think I'll feel comfortable going back there even though I like their food. Well, so far I like everything but their crispy ground beef tacos and their tacos al pastor.

The wait service was very attentive and patient since it was our first visit. The resturant was recommended by the front desk person at the Brighton Best Western. Our food was hot and my fajitas were sizzling (singing to me in my book). The food was fresh, tasted excellent and the portions were appropriate. Two downsides. Expensive for what we ordered but forgivable considering increased food costs. Finally the place was extremely noisy. I couldn't measure the dbs but I'm sure they would have been close to triple digits. It was impossible to carry on a conversation. Part of the problem is loud kitchen noise and dish clattering, followed by loud music all topped with hard surfaces throughout the restaurant that allows the harsh noise to bounce around. If they could isolate the kitchen and treat the hard surfaces then the music wouldn't have to be so loud. Honestly the positives outweigh the negatives.

Ive been here before but I believe they might have changed up their menu. Typically when you order a combination the sizes and portions are the same as if you ordered an item solo. Not the case here. The portions are unusually tiny. My son had like a burrito that looked smaller than a taco bell burrito. My side beans tasted burnt and my rice was hard still. Green chili was just meh.

We use to go here alot. It's close to the house and food and pricing was great. The last two times going for dinner was bad. They raised all there prices, dining room was dead and the food was old. Too bad...... they had a good thing going.

I thought I found a hidden gem but my first time coming here on Friday left me a little annoyed. I get that inflation is screwing up everyone, but to not have even remotely accurate prices on the menu is frustrating. I thought I was paying $10.50 for a burrito, but it was actually $14.50. It was full of potatoes, some minor amount of meat and barely smothered. Again, I know inflation is high but $10.50 to $14.50 is 40% price increase. It was a nice surprise on my bill. I doubt I'll be back.
