Dewolf Tavern

Brunch at Dewolf was a perfect cap to our weekend. The space itself is everything you have been looking for in this charming coastal town. The service was friendly and graciously accommodating. We came with our toddler - the hostess was ready with coloring books and our server was conscious the added complexity of our party with such a young eater. She was helpful with questions about the menu and ever went back to the kitchen to follow up on allergens. We had the eggs Benedict and the Shakshuka. Portions were huge and everything was excellent! I thought the poached eggs had been cooked a but the hubs thought they were perfect. Also had the French 77 and the Paloma. So good! Anyway, glad to be living in Bristol. Going to do some damage at Dewolf.

One of the worst experiences I have had in a while. We go out almost every Saturday with our friends for dinner and like to try different places. This place had been on our list for a bit. Can honestly say we will never go back. We ordered drinks and enjoyed those. We ordered three appetizers and only received two. The one appetizer we were missing was a potato cake that sounded lovely. We mentioned something to our server that we did not receive it. He apologized for us not receiving it and apparently there had been a little confusion where he thought we didn't want it. He then put the order in for that missing appetizer. We put in our order for our main courses and waited over an hour for them. In the meantime, the potato cake never showed up. The server was apologetic and said he had taken it off the bill and it would come out when it was ready. After waiting an hour for our main courses, the food was very mediocre at best. Two of us had tandoori chicken the other had the seared tuna special and I had the seafood stew. The food was very small portioned and disappointing in flavor. My seafood stew consisted of two previously frozen shrimp, two scallops, four little necks, four mussels, and a very microscopic crab claw that wasn't worth cracking. The broth was to be a Coconut Thai chili broth, which I was looking forward to, and had absolutely no Thai chili taste to it at all and the Coconut flavor was barely there. After we had our meals, we were hoping to get dessert to maybe feel more satisfied with the meal. However, our server just put the check on the table and told us he could take it when we were ready. Don't forget, we are still waiting for a potato cake. None of us would recommend this place to anybody for anything. Highly disappointed in a very mediocre experience.

Had Christmas dinner here. First time going and all the great things I had heard about it were right on. Food was excellent and our server was fantastic. She was a young college age woman but handled our table of ten with ease while also handling at least 4 other tables at the same time. Wish that I could remember her name so I could give her the recognition she deserves. I would and have recommended the DeWolf multiple times since this dinner and I can't wait to go back.

Let me start off with a round of applause to De Wolf Tavern's staff members! Kudos to Erica Mederios; De Wolf's head manager, for making our rehearsal dinner such a memorable experience. From our menu selections, to the beautiful sensual flowers on the tables. Thank you to Rebecca Vieira, De Wolf's Catering director. Both of you ladies made our families and friends feel so welcome. Your attention to detail was impeccable, my wife and I are so blessed that you could accommodate all our options and needs. From the beautiful decor in the bridal suite, to the wedding under the tent, followed by a exquisite reception! 100 % hands down we applaud you both!! And let me not forget the star of the show! Chef Sai Viswanath and his culinary team were absolutely exceptional. Chef Sai's plant base accommodations drew me back to when I was in culinary school. The flavors of smoky and sweet Indian spices gave me to urge to go to Madras, India for our honeymoon. Smiles. Overall, My family and I applaud all of you for all your hard work and we will never forget this experience. So to all the newly engaged!!! I went to this place for Christmas dinner with my family.The view was excellent overlooking Bristol Barber. We had the baked brie, and some other appitisers, all were excellent. I had the chop. It was great with mashed potatoes.The coffee was press pot. I loved that. The manager was the best! Service was Excellent! I'm going back soon.
