Have ordered from here as well as several other local Chinese takeaways over the last 10 years. This is my go to choice. Never had a bad meal from HKC. Always get any alternatives or requests correct. Occasionally (1 in 10) I have had to wait for delivery longer than I expected but never massively so. Just had a delivery as I was typing this review! 15 minutes early. Food was fresh and hot. Char Sui Curry was great and without onions (as requested), chicken chow Mein was great with a little extra sesame oil (as requested), salt and pepper chicken wings were hot crispy and spicy, egg fried rice was enough for two easily but not the best I’ve ever had, but it’s just how they do it at HKC and chicken spring rolls were freshly cooked, piping hot and wonderfully crispy. All in a solid 8/10 and more if they changed their EFR. I am another reviewer who can’t understand the numerous 1 star reviews for this restaurant. Some are clearly malicious and some are obviously from people that believe that a restaurant deserves 1 star because Uber/Just Eat took too long to deliver! Some are definitely from people that just like to complain about anything they can but the genuine ones complaining about the quality of the food or service from the actual restaurant seem unfathomable to me! JMHO. 🙂

Not our local, but local to my mother-in-law. My wife decided to treat her to a Chinese for her birthday, so we stopped here en route. My Sweet and Sour King Prawns (Hong Kong style) was very nice, as were the ladies' dishes. A large egg fried rice was ample for the three of us, especially when complemented with mini spring rolls and a bag of non-greasy prawn crackers.

Been using this Chinese since it opened. Never had an issue. Food is always hot and always delish!! Fair prices too. Going by the bad reviews on here it's mainly to do with the delivery service. Clearly that needs improvement (I've never had an issue with this) but I absolutely love this place and would recommend it to anyone.

I've ordered from here loads of times (more than I probably should have). I've never had an issue with the service, it's never been late and usually arrives much sooner than the time given. It's always my first choice when I fancy a Chinese as their food is consistently delicious (not too greasy like a lot of places). I've recommended to friends and family, and would recommend to whoever's reading this too. Can't understand why there are so many bad reviews on here?
