Came here as a table of 4 for a celebration meal. The restaurant were able to seat us early and the servers were very attentive and helpful. There was a little wait for food to start coming out, but it was quite full so we didn’t mind. Mains came quickly after the starters. I had veg dim sum for a starter - it was okay. The dumplings themselves were lovely and soft, but the filling didn’t have very much flavour and didn’t seem to have any seasoning. It kind of just tasted like cabbage or broccoli and not much else. Dad had pork dim sum and enjoyed it. Mum had duck spring rolls which were incredible and the salt and pepper chicken was gorgeous too. We all had indian mains and they were incredible. So flavourful and fresh. The meat was cooked perfectly too - beautifully soft beef and chicken. The korma was aromatic and creamy and the kerela beef curry had a good kick to it. The korri ghassi chicken melted in your mouth and was so flavourful but I wasn’t fond of the excessive garnish leaves on top - they didn’t add to it at all and kind of spoiled the lovely creamy mouthfuls for me (but I’m a bit particular about textures!). I didn’t try Dad’s kashmiri lamb, but he ate it quickly and really enjoyed it. You get a lot of rice in a portion - we could share one between two people. The popadums come with lots of lovely dips and the naans were lush - a little bit thin and a little bit crispy and really flavoursome! There was music on but it wasn’t too loud even though we were sat right under the speaker. It was loud enough that we couldn’t hear conversations from other tables, but quiet enough that we could hear each other speak. Overall, a little on the pricy side but worth the money, especially for a special occasion!

We had an amazing night at Rock Salt. The staff were extremely nice, and the environment is warm and cozy. Food? Extremely tasty and makes it hard for you to stop eating. My favourite was the nan bread with the pink ingredient instead… so good! Ice cream at the end (night’s special was coconut) was so tasty too. Definitely try the night’s ice cream. Thank you Rock Salt Team!

You HAVE to try this place. They really know what they're doing. Indian and Chinese cuisine colliding into one delicious experience. There were a few other juxtapositions in this restaurant - the decor on one side is graffiti and the other is exposed brick/smart tiles/greenery/fancy lighting. They also unexpectedly played disco all evening, so the atmosphere was really fun but became quite loud as the restaurant filled up. For food we had the onion baji (a highlight) and pork dim sum for starters. Lamb biryani, murg butter masala, palak paneer, egg fried rice, garlic naan for mains. Blackcurrant sorbet for desert. Totally over-ordered for two people (no regrets), but they very readily arranged the left overs into a doggy bag. I wouldn't order anything differently - each dish was stunning, particularly blown away by the quality of the egg fried rice. The only areas I'd mark down on would be, unavoidably it's not a big restaurant so if you're at a centre table there is a fair bit of traffic on one side and you're quite close to the neighbouring table on the other side. In future I'll book in advance one of the two tables by the window. Whilst disco is my all time favourite genre I found it a little distracting, perhaps a fraction down on the volume is all it needed. Will be returning regardless. Loved. It.

We came to try this place as we don't often come across Indian and Chinese food under one roof. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a modern touch and comfy feel. I like thar they don't try to cramp the place work too many tables so you can enjoy your meal in comfort. We had a mix of Chinese and Indian dishes (vegans too). I recommend the Indian dishes. We picked a prawn dish on the special menu and it was well worth a try. The Chinese dish... was more like an Indian adaptation which some may find strange. The hibiscus lemonade was nice, went nicely with the dishes. I would visit again and recommend to others.

The food was absolutely incredible, it was very fresh and tasty. We got a mix of Chinese and Indian and both were done to a very high standard. We will definitely be returning to try the other things on the menu as there were so many amazing sounding dishes.

This place rocks! We found it when we were least expecting to do so, on a Sunday night in the rain. The duck was amazing and the shrimp was very tender, but more importantly, their spices were superb. Loved the meal, and even my partner, who is super picky, couldn’t find anything wrong with it.

I have visited Rock Salt a couple of times now, and both times have been 10/10. The food is incredible, fresh and tasty. Although it is hard to get your head around Chinese and Indian in one restaurant, I personally thinks it works great! The staff are always so friendly and chatty and give great recommendations. It's never too busy, and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend and will be back again soon!

Was sceptical about this place when I heard it was Indian & Chinese food (been to a few that don’t work) but this place was DELICIOUS! The food was beautifully presented and each dish was packed with its own incredible flavours. We had the Hong Kong chicken to start and the chilli paneer which were our favourite out of the whole bunch. The prawn main dish and kung pao tofu were also really good. The service was fast and the staff were friendly, they were really knowledgable on the dishes as well as the drinks. I had the rock salt margarita which was also really good, interesting to look at too!

There were two staff there of which one seems to be the manager. They both look very professional and approachable and provide just the right level of customer service. The food was freshly cooked to order. They were sizzling hot when delivering to the table. I was especially impressed with the variety and quality of the starters more than the main course. They all taste delicious. The dim sum was clearly home made and fresh. Being Chinese myself, I must say the kind of food on the menu are typical ‘Westernised’ take away choices but nevertheless well cooked. For that reason I didn’t choose Chinese main course but the Indian fish curry. It was full of flavour with a kick. However it’s too rich for my liking and it filled me up quickly. I only ate the fish and left the juice there. I took away one star because it’s bit pricey. For a family of 3 with 50% off food our bill still comes to nearly £50 with not many drinks. I’d visit again only with a discount.
