I visited here for breakfast today for the first time with my husband and we were impressed from the word go. Tasty quality ingredients, cooked to perfection and served with style and panache. Thank you to the Chef, who obviously delights in his work. The tea and coffee was excellent too. The owner and staff were charming and curteous and took the time to chat to us. The surroundings, both inside and out are a delight. We wished we hadn't left it so long before making our first visit. It won't be our last! If breakfast can be so delightful we can't wait to sample more of the menu and the entertainment on offer. What a lovely place The Lakes is - a little hidden gem.
Love this place we live local and the lakes is always well talked about had another beautiful night of fantastic tapas..the amazing flavours of the dishes are to die for and the home made sangria is just wow...fab food fab friendly staff fab surroundings a must for anyone...
Can't say enough good things about this place. The service was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Every single member of staff treat you as if you are their most special customer.
The food was phenomenal too - we ordered two pizzas and a steak and all three were cooked to perfection.
Can't recommend a visit here enough. We will absolutely come back!
We ordered the Tomahawk Steak sharer platter and cooked medium to well it came absolutely cooked to perfection and sliced up so the meat could be enjoyed hot. Because if we'd had to cut ourselves I reckon it would have all gone cold before doing so.
Service and staff were excellent and its always been a favourite place for us.
Excellent food and service, we had perfect weather and a lovely view on the lake with ducks and geese. The chap that served us when we got there was very helpful and gave a great service! Was a great early birthday meal out with family.
This place was amazing ! The food, views and the staff were all lovely. Would definitely recommend and here are some pictures of the food that my family and I ate. I also had a new experience of trying truffle oil.
We had made a reservation since the night before, when we turned up it was full. On arrival, our waitress was really helpful. We asked to be seated outside as the weather was nice. We ordered a pizza, a burger and another dish( can't remember the name). For sides we ordered salt and pepper chips. All I can say is from start to finish the food, the service, location, parking, everything was brilliant. The twin sisters who served us were extremely polite and helpful. This place is a must visit when coming to this area.

The food was really good. Had some oysters as a starter and they were fresh and bursting with flavour. Mussels, salmon and everything I had was delicious. The place is very pretty, I wish I would have gone in the day time. That will be my excuse to come back.
Lovely setting overlooking a lake, although we didn't have food it looked amazing. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Drinks were reasonably priced too.
Absolutely amazing food - the Italian pizzas and pasta dishes are incredible! On a nice day it’s great to sit outside for snacks and coffee (or something stronger). Moreover, the staff members are lovely.
