Although far from perfect and a bit hit and miss, I actually think this is the best fish and chip shop in Burton of the ones I have tried. I always ask for fish without skin which they have to prepare for me so I always get freshly cooked fish, sometimes it’s a bit mushy and tasteless but sometimes it’s great. The chips are always how I like them, slightly soggy but tasty. Good portion sizes too. I’ve tried several fish and chip shops in Burton since moving here 8 years ago and this tops them all. I heard rumours it’s changed hands recently, not sure if true but hope it doesn’t go downhill.

We were looking forward to a nice fish and chips experience. We had below average experience in some places in town, this was the first time we've visited this place. People are nice and friendly. The portion and quality of the food was very good. We have been lucky to have an extra big fish as you can see on the picture with a large box of chips. Overall we would highly recommend this place!

Ordered 5 large cod and was beautiful. New owners really nice, cooked all the meat separate from the chips and fish. Also sold me halal sausage which is good for Muslim community. Would recommend
